I know we had a thread like this awhile back but we have so many new girls. So I think it would be fun to tell a little about ourselves.
I'm Colleen. I'm 23. I work on a per diem basis as a Sub. Teacher for children with special needs, and work part time for a recreation department. I'm going to school full time for my Masters in Special Ed. All the while, I've been searching for a full time job for the fall
I'm so addicted to weddings, wedding planning, and LIW. I'm on here so much cuz I can't afford to do anything else. I don't even know how I have the time between school and work.

Hi I'm Marisa and I am currently a teachers assistant looking for a teaching position. FH and I hae been dating almost 2 and a half years. we each still live at home with our familes (about 25 mins from each other) but hope to get our own place in the spring. I am huge new york islanders fan and one of my future goals is to get season tickets. I am also a gymnastics coach and work at a daycare part time.

Hi! I'm Joanne, I'm 33 and work in insurance. FH is 27 and works for a foreclosure/bankruptcy firm. We've been together just over 1.5 years. We both live in Nassau county in the Hicksville area.

Didn't know this thread existed. My name is Amanda and both FH and i are 33. We've been together for 2.5 years. We met because he works for my father's company.......it was quite the scandal when it got out that not only were we together but we were living together too. We live in Patchogue with his son and my 2 cats.
I am truly thankful for this site and for all of you ladies. I've gotten such great guidance so far!

whats uppp...my name is Theresa, but you can call me Tessie or Tess (nickname)..I'm turning 24 on September 13th! I am a waitress and bartender at a steakhouse...i've been doing this for years and I AM SICK OF IT!! lol seriously though..i just received my BA in psychology which means i will be applying for graduate school! i lived in queens for most of my life, i moved out here with my family 3 years ago..the best move of my life! I love my fiance so much he's the most sweetest. romantic man and he's crazy about me! i'm crazy about him too

Hi Ladies. My name is Nicole, I'm 29 and live in Astoria,Queens. I have been with FH for four years and we became engaged in February while vacationing in Mexico:) I am a first grade teacher in Forest Hills and absolutely love what I do. I am so excited to finally be engaged and I have been having a ball with all the wedding planning. I think this website is a great way for future brides to get ideas from other brides and also a way to vent around ladies who have similar frustrations!!!!

Well, my name is Jessica and FH's name is Eric. I'm 26 years old, and I teach 9th grade math. I'm still living in the same house in Ozone Park that I grew up in...FH and I rent the third floor apartment from Mom. We've been dating for just over 8 years....I know I know, it's about time we got engaged!

my name is Christine & i'm 24. i live in Brooklyn in an apartment with FH. we've been together for 8 years. high school sweethearts. this summer i am working two jobs, 1 in brooklyn, where i am a building manager & an office manager, the other is in the city, where i organize a law office & pay the bills. will be attending college full time this fall & then will be graduating in the spring.

Hi my name is Gloria!! I'm 24 years old...I just joined LIW this past august and I am soo excited because this is such a helpful site. I am currently in my last year of Collge i will be getting my degree in sociology but will be joining teaching fellows ''hopefully' this spring so that i can start teaching sept 09...I'll also enrolled for my masters as soon as i start teaching!!!. What I do for fun? well i love middle eastern music so i belly dance for fun i've been doing it for 4yrs and i have performed in different venues, parties and restaurants its soo much fun..but i don't want that for a living. I work for the Y.M.C.A at this after school program at P.S 95 in which we help kids with extracurricular activities and homework...this job is just a great practice for my teaching career and i love it :) I just got engaged this past June and looking foward for the planning to start I won't get into serious planning until next year because right now i need to study my BUTT off hehe...oh yea and FH and I have been dating for 4.5 years almost :)

Oh i forgot to mention i was born on a Leap Year hehe but i still celebrate it on the 28th!! why not March 1st?? i don't know i was used to celebrating it the 28th that i am used to it! hehe so in reality i guess i am 6 lol

Im Jessica! FH (James) and I are both 22 and will be 23 in a few months. Im from Setauket and he's from Port Jeff. My mother thinks we're too young to get married along with other rediculous thingssss. My father and siblings are thrilled for us! I am an LPN in a nursing home and Finishing my RN with Excellsior self study college(bla bad idea) FH is a Phys Ed teacher who's searching for a job (Fingers crossed!) he works for a teen prevention program and he waitors at a Steak house. He's taking NYPD in October and prob. starting the Jan academy.
We are so excited for our wedding to come! We live with our parents (I have a studio apartment in my parents house). We are saving hard core for a little long island house.
I love nursing, nursing school (lol), my job with old people, baking and doing crafts (sewing, scrapbooking, dollhouses, everything!)
I am so happy to see other young brides!!

Im Danielle and FH is Danny im 24 and hes 34 yeah 10 yrs apart .... my mom thinks hes great but Not for me and shes not happy about the 10yrs difference his family loves me... we had our own apartment for 8mnths now and i love it....
hes a sheet metal mechanic in the local 28 and im a Phlebotomist in the NSLIJ health system...
im addicted to liweddings...
but ill more 100% wedding crazy once we book our hall and decide what to do.. we keep thinking about getting married in jamaica we went there in june and LOVED it we also saw 3 weddings there and they were BEAUTIFUL im going back in Nov. hopefully ill talk with the wedding cord there and figure out what we will do.. im so undecided....

Gaby, 22, living in Massapequa and Deer Park (at my parents about 25% of the time and with FH the other 75%) been with FH 4 1/2 years. I am a Laboratory Tech working in RIA and Endocrinology (ria is radioactive testing...). Im not totally wedding obsessed yet, FH and I are taking it slow before we book anything because of money issues (we have NONE!!)

My name is Dawn. I'm 29 and a 2nd grade teacher. FH is an accountant working towards the CPA exam and is going to school for his MBA in Accounting. We live in the house that I grew up in, on the first floor. My brother and SIL live on the 2nd floor.
I'm completely obsessed with wedding planning, but school work comes first.
