Don't get engaged, married, turn 30, and have a baby all within 2 years. There's only so many thank you notes one person can write and between the engagement party, bridal shower, wedding, birthday party, and baby shower, as soon as I'm done writing one set, I have to start writing another!

Yikes, that sounds like me, without the baby part...yet. My 30th birthday will be right in between engagement party and my shower- people are going to be sick of me!!

LOL...I haven't even written my wedding thank yous! Or picked them for that matter so I can only imagine having to do it several times for different reasons!

LOL! well i guess i'm spacing things out somewhat-Engaged 5/09-Engagement Party 8/09; Wedding 11/11; Hopefully baby summer 2012. So there's a 3 year time span from beginning to end LOL!

I will say though ladies - make it clear to FH that he needs to write the TYs for his OWN side of the guest list. Then, once he knows he's responsible, you can use them as leverage for getting what you want.
DH hasn't even written ONE of his TY notes from the wedding (which was in APRIL) and so I traded writing 10 of his thank you notes to get the baby bedding I wanted. I'm still working on trading more for the expensive purse I want but he figured out it would be $9/note and he's not going for it.

Oops - engaged, married and turning 30 all within two years! Not sure about the baby thing. I should have read this before I did my planning!
