a long shot - movie trivia...

what is the name of the movie that takes place in Brooklyn (I think) in the 50-60's? Had a lot of classic cars in it. I think it was made in the late 80's - 90's.

Its a bunch of italian boys, and there's a part where one of the boys talks about how the girl that leans over to unlock to door for him would be the right girl for him...?

am I making any sense? I know there were racial issues throughout, in fact I think the above boy ended up in an interracial relationship for awhile but then his friends hurt her brother or something.

anyone know what I'm talking about?

Re: a long shot - movie trivia...

seems like a lot of guys identified with that.

It came up the other day when I was driving with my boss and he had unlocked our doors and when he got around to his side, we (me and a girl I work with) realized we didn't unlock his side

That got her and I talking about the movie. but we couldn't come up with the name (I made sure to unlock it the next time).

I guess I'm so used to auto-locks now, it didn't occur to me

A Bronx tale (taken off the back of the DVD)

The streets of the Bronx are a tough place for a kid to grow up, you learn fast or lose everything. Lorenzo's son Calogero learns about the virtues of hard, honest work from his father who owns nothing but his intergrity; but he learns about easy money and life on the streets from the man who owns them, a mobster called Sonny. Now Calogero must choose between earning respect like his father, or commanding it like Sonny. Always one step away from a broken bottle, a pistol whipping or a shotgun blast, one young man, torn between two worlds just a city block apart, is about to learn the streets run two ways. For every cent of easy money, there's a tough and sometimes deadly, lesson to be learned.
