Hi, I just got engaged on February 28th. This is my very first post. I would like to have a wedding no later than May-ish 2010. I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a reception hall that would accomodate a minimum of 100 people. Food is very important. I would love to have the food at Villa Lombardi's for my wedding but unfortunately I think they cater to larger affairs.
I did some research and came up with the following:
Stonebridge Golf & Country Club (in Smithtown) Smithtown Landing Country Club (Lessings food) The WaterMill
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
PS..Even though these are in Suffolk, Nassau is actually easier for us (Church is in Queens) so please don't hesitate if you have any ideas (Nassau or Suffolk). Thanks!

Re: A nice RH with a low minimum?
I'm a Villa bride, and that's not entirely true...for a Saturday night, yes, especially in prime season, but if you're willing to do a Saturday or Sunday afternoon you can definitely get that minimum. Or in Winter, you can get a lower min for a friday or saturday. My min is 125 for a Saturday night, and I can't complain about that at all. I wouldn't count them out until you go there and find out for yourself, if that's what your gut wants. I made up my mind way before FH gave the 'go ahead' to book that that's where we were going to have the wedding, and I didn't stop following up and calling and negotiating until I got what we needed to make it happen. Good luck!

Thanks alot.
Do you know if the upstairs room at the Watermill is handicap accessible? I think Chateau La Mer has a smaller upstairs room but no elevators. That's not really good for our older guests.

Re: A nice RH with a low minimum?
Jericho Terrace has rooms that will accomidate smaller weddings..and I'm sure a lot of halls will if you get married in an 'off' month. Look around..100 people is not that small!!

Re: A nice RH with a low minimum?
Fox Hollow is great. I had a small wedding (82ppl) only had to guarentee 60. The minimum may be slightly higher for you only because you're getting married in Spring but they have different rooms that accomodate different size events. The food is AMAZING!!! They have an Inn so you can stay there the day of your wedding. They also have a resturant so if you want to get an idea of what the food tastes like, you can always make reservations to go to dinner.

Good luck and Congrats!!!
P.S. They also have elevators for anyone who cannot walk up and down the stairs.

Harbor Club in Huntington! The biggest they do is 220 so a small minimum is not a problem there. My wedding was last July and they REALLY worked with us!

Re: A nice RH with a low minimum?
I'm a Smithtown Landing brides and they will definitely work with you to get the minimum you want. They recently changed chefs, and we went for the trial - it was SOOO yummy and the presentation was BEAUTIFUL! Rich and Donna are the 2 coordinators you'd work with and they're both awesome/down to earth.
I'm having a smaller wedding - 80-100 people and they are VERY good about throwing in a few extras, etc.
Best of luck! FM me if you have any SLCC questions.

Re: A nice RH with a low minimum?
I'm biased and IN LOVE with the Riviera. We're having a smaller wedding of 70-100 ppl in June which is one of the busiest months. The place is gorgeous and the ppl r super nice. they will work with ur budget and every needs.
Also Thatched Cottage is really nice but since you have a smaller wedding you might be the second wedding there.
