A Place to take pics after ceremony

Our church is at 4pm and our cocktail hour starts at 7pm....I need to figure out where we can go after the church between Islandia and Rocky point.
We wanted to go to the Oakdale arboretum but for now that is out of the question.

Any ideas??

Re: A Place to take pics after ceremony

What about Smiths Point? That's where we were originally going to do...or maybe FreshMeadow in Stony Brook.

I agree with Smith's point. I think the pictures would look great there. What about an area in Port Jeff or Stony Brook?

We made an appt with the Holtsville Ecology Center and were so happy! Some of our pics in the wedding pro album come from there. Take a look!

If you see greenery, it's there.

Re: A Place to take pics after ceremony

Maybe the photographer will have some good suggestions??? Oakdale arbor (whatever) was suggested as one place by my guy last night, you just have to pay like a $50 site fee. But he had others to suggest depending on where the church and reception are...

I was just going to suggest this. One of the photographers suggested it to me as a backup for rainy weather. I see your wedding is in February and I know this place is indoors so maybe this would be a safe bet for you.

Re: A Place to take pics after ceremony

There is an arboretum across the street from the Stony Brook Outlets (behing the lake). It is beautiful with wooden walkways, benches, and greenery. Probably a nice place for pics!

There is a little park behind the post office in Setauket with a stone bridge and mill. That's where we're going.
