(My delicious, delicious 7-11 coffee...not stirred with some guy's arm)

Okay, look, the cups were not big enough to fit coffee and milk in them, let alone someone's arm!!!!! A finger maybe

But, my Trinidadian friend who worked the truck had more personality than any flunkie slinging joe at Starbucks!!!!!! (or 7-11 for that matter, except for my Dad's 7-11 man-friend Henry He was pretty cool)

They don't stir it with their arm in the CUP! That would be ridiculous unless they had some magical tiny people slinging java at those trucks or those pygmy marmoset monkeys that are only 8 inches tall, not including their 7 inch tail. And really if they did have those monkeys making the coffee, I would completely forsake 7-11 in favor of the arm-coffee truck because monkeys are just that cool and necessary. But they don't. At least not in Nassau County.
Anyway, they stir it with their arms in that big VAT!

I ground the coffee beans with my teeth.

It's not necessary to STIR plain coffee at all!! You only stir it when you put milk and sugar in it! My Trinidadian friend wasn't even tall enough to get his arm in the urn!!

Yes, the coffee truck guys stir the coffee with their arms and Farah luuuuuuuuuuuurves arm-coffee.

Yep, that's right!!! Yummy

I especially love it when there's a big thick black arm hair floatin' around in there. You don't get that stuff at Starbucks, lemme tell ya!

So much for Liz's productive day!

Maybe your Trinidadian friend had a ladder. Did he have a ladder?

funny funny.... you mean they don't have firedrills in the UK or anywhere outside of NYC? this is quite the norm here since 9/11

yet unfortunately, during our drill I was barely listening to the cute fire warden, since I was preoccupied with thoughts of arms stirring vats of coffee and proceeded to check out all the female attorneys' gorgeous expensive shoes while standing there in my Chucks

TMI ALERT .. TMI ALERT... do not proceed unless you want this thread bounced over to those classless people on 'OT'

I thought Anniegrl's story about hair and 'swinging poo' had done me in yesterday but now I have this to ponder

Not sure, I couldn't see past his upper torso the truck does hamper one's field of vision you know.

But, I'm sure he didn't have a ladder!!!! And when I'm visiting NY next week, I will make it a point to seek him out and ask him how he stirs his coffee, okay! Wanna come? Meet me at Broadway between 19th & 20th on Monday the 29th around 9:30am!!! We'll settle this once and for all!!!!!!!

Only you would use your time in NY to go visit your Trinidadian friend to get coffee.. lol

and I cannot believe there will be yet another visit from Farah, but Wendy had to decide to pick up and go to WDW for the Thanksgiving weekend... or else we could have tried to arrange an impromptu GTG perhaps

Re: A Request...

We have drills here all the time. Believe it or not, two minutes ago they announced they were testing the alarm.

I don't think I told the story from a few weeks ago when we had to fire alarms in one day ... our LAN Admin was BURNING TOAST in her office. YES, TWICE in one day.

By the second time when we got outside, the building occupants were like an angry mob ... GET THE THIRD FLOOR!!!!!

Some woman followed my ex boss to his car cursing at him, telling him the person should be fired.

It was such a lovely day ... I think the first one in the morning woke up the fire marshall - he looked very sleepy when he arrived (oh yeah, it was the day after ... wait, I don't want to upset Felicia with the memory - figure it out) or just depressed.

Oh, that suks I was hoping you guys might be around on Monday the 29th. We were going to hang out somewhere for Happy Hour this way we could get to see everyone all at once We'll probably all meet when we're like 80 and then we'll say remember in the olden days when we used to use the internet...

I don't think we're really in danger of that unless we start talking about poo swinging from a big thick black hair attached to a Trinidadian arm stirring coffee... That would be especially if the poo started to melt and disolve into the coffee.......

Re: A Request...

I've been at my job for 2 1/2 years. We've never had a fire drill. Should I be worried? Are they hoping the building will go up in a spectacular blaze leaving us trapped and suffocating from smoke inhalation before finally being cooked alive and eventually having our charred remains prised off the melted industrial carpeting by firefighters?

oh, a gtg would have been so fun! We'd either end up in a fistfight or fits of uncontrolable giggles! I wish I wasn't going upstate now!

Oh don't worry, we'll still blame you completely and start making up lies about you...

i.e. Gee Wendy, you never come to the gtgs, why do you hate Farah so much?
