A Thread Just for Plus Size Brides (NEW)

Hi ladies!
i wanted to continue the thread, but it gave me the warning that it was over however many thousand days old...

i bought my dress at kleinfeld in manhattan and i have to say they had a ton of designer gowns in large sizes! just wanted to share!

i'm so glad you started a new thread for us!! i got my dress at david's bridal, i really didn't have a problem finding dresses, so i hope no new girls are scared about going dress shopping... don't be!!

my question for you is, what are you gonna wear the night of? and where should we look??

yay. I'm glad someone started a new thread. I have to start looking for dresses but I'm not sure where the best place would be.

I got my dress @ Carmela's Bridal Garden. They had so many beutiful dresses there I didn' know which one to choose.

I got my dress at The Wedding center in Commack .. they have alot of plus sizes there i saw .

Sorry to crash this chat.....

I found the Alfred Angelo website by accident. He makes a line of plus-sized wedding dresses. I found a dress that I really liked. I put in my zip code and it told me where to go (Lynbrook Bridal) to find the dress. Luckily, they had the dress in my size (actually a size bigger) and I was able to try it on....and I fell in love with it.

i got mine at Lillettes in Baldwin. I had no problem finding one. I was so nervous, but it was very relaxed. But, I am not sure what i'm going to wear underneath. i don't wanna feel like im trapped in my dress...lol

i went to RK bridal...

they have alot of plus size dresses there ..

i got mine on saturday (alfred angelo )

i wish this thread existed before i went shopping... i know how you feel if any of you are feeling apprehensive... i was dreading it myself at first... not to mention the places i went only had sample size 10s and i needed like an 18... they were trying to stuff me in the gowns and i refused to go outside to show my family. it was so disappointing. i couldn't believe the sales people didn't say anything- i wish they had!!! but like i said, i loved kleinfeld, i had NO problems there!

I got mine at bridal reflections, yes some of the samples were like kate moss small but other than that it was ok

I also got mine at Bridal Reflections ... I actually wound up somehow trying only Maggie Sottero dresses on there, and they were beautiful! I had a great time trying on dresses when I had been dreading it.

i agree..lydia..the woman who helped me was fantastic..she told me what dresses would look good for me and what to stay away from...and it was so nice to actually fit in a dress..not to be stuffed in trying to see if i liked it...good luck

When i went to RK bridal in the city they had a size 18 dress that i tried in so im sure they have all sizes. I would call just to make sure.
