I believe french bustles are poofier than regular bustles. Does it feel like that when you are standing/walking or just when you sit?

Sorry ladies! I guess the stress got to me - I have a REALLY bad cold and have been flat on my back since Friday. I think I am more human now - at least I can sit up without my head feeling like it's gonna fall off!!

Here are the pix I promised:



You see how there's like a ball of fabric right in the middle?? Maybe that should be inside? They tied itup really quick and I didn't get to see how it was done. It doesn't seem to lay flat like in the pix above. Thanks for those - now I have an idea of what it shoujld look like!


ETS: Here's the front of the dress also.. do you think I should do a drop necklace instead of the choker? I can NOT decide!!

The pictures weren't working, but I found your links, so I'm posting them for you.

I think part of your bustle problem is that your dress needs to be pressed. But I would definetly ask your seamstress about it to make sure you are happy with it.

Your dress is so pretty! Although the choker is nice, I think a more delicate drop necklace would look better since your bodice and neckline is very elaborate. Just my opinion, but I think it will soften the look and tie it all together better.

How are you wearing your hair for your wedding?

Okay, so we didn't pick up our bands today. I have to email them the inscription because of course I forgot to bring the italian translation with me. Since our rings are a celtic design (FH is Irish), we're doing our inscriptions in italian to represent my heritage.

In italian, it is:

i think your dress is beautiful and i agree a drop necklace would be nice because of all the eleborate detailing on the gown

Ugh...my computer crapped out last night. I got infested with ad-ware.

Anyway, to continue what I was saying, in Italian, our engravings would be:

Mio amico migliore, Mio amore, Mia vita

Tonight we are meeting with the DJ. I'm having second thoughts about who we picked. We have extensive, specific music we want played and I have a feeling we're going to have to provide most of it.

When we booked our DJ it was a week after I had to bury my father, so my mind set wasn't there. They were referred by a friend, and people who attended that wedding said they were good. At that point, I was like fine, good, book them and be done with it. I was a little uncomfortable that they wouldn't negotiate price much since we aren't using them for the ceremony or cocktail hour. But their price wasn't bad, so we booked them. We also would have been happier using a DJ that is more technologically advanced -- using computers and MP3s. But again, it was easier at the time just to book them.

We just went to a friends wedding last month who's DJ ran everything from the computer and it was awesome. And their DJ hunted down songs they wanted if he didn't have them, and could show them that 'yes' he had them.

I have a feeling our DJs will say they have stuff -- but might not know for sure since I can't imagine them knowing every song they have on CD. It's not like they can run a search from the computer.

I'm probably stressing for nothing, but it's one of the only decisions that I regret not researching further. Oh well!

i am sorry hon you are ahving so amny problems with them - have ytou tried talking to the owner?
i can understand that it wasnt really that important at the time
worst case scenario is they dont have all the songs - as long as they have the main ones does it really matter all that much?
if you arent happy with their service dont pay them especially if they are misrepresenting themselves
