a VERY mini WATERMILL review!
Mornin' Ladies!
I was in my friend's wedding yesterday which was held at the Watermill and I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! If I didn't have so many darn people on my list I would have definitely had it there!!!!! Here's why:
Because of the snow storm, we were unable to go to the arboretuem that my friend wanted to take pictures at. She had several hours in between the church and the reception, so at that point we didn't know what to do with ourselves! When the groom called the Watermill, the guy said that he will do his best to set us up somewhere and to come on down....Instead of our original arrival time 7 pm (cocktail hour was at 7:30), he let us come at 5:30!!!!!
When we arrived, we were taken care of immediately!!!!!! We were put in one of the cocktail hour rooms that wasn't in use and were allowed to take pics, were brought drinks (MANY heheh) and several trays of hot hor'dervs (my spelling stinks!), fried calamari, and a cold antipasto (which were refilled over and over again!) They took care of us like you wouldn't believe!!!! And because of the weather, many guests had arrived 6:45ish (I guess they allowed extra time for travel) and so the Watermill opened up the cocktail hour at 7 instead of 7:30!!!!
The food was AWESOME and the service continued to be amazing throughout the night. I've been to so many weddings and I just can't say enough about my experience at the Watermill.
I hope this helps anyone who hasn't decided on a reception hall yet!!! Oh and by the way....even though there was another wedding going on...when you were in the main room you coudln't hear the music from the downstairs event which is great!!!!! It's like we were the only ones there!
