AAAAAAAAARGH...stupid budget

Original post by jenlen

Just calculated my budget again (based on vendor we already booked and stuff we already bought) and we're like 5K over.

Plus, we finally finalized our guestlist and we were at around 350. We know the decline rate will be much less than the 18%. My friend who shared almost identical guestlists with me ended up with 95% acceptance.

Man, need more $$$$$ . No one is getting Christmas gifts this year...hahahahaha. A nice little card will have to do!

I have a solution. Just come up with a new budget and then you won't be over

Sorry I have been stressing financially so I had to make light of the situation

i do that all the time! you should see how much crossing out my 'budget' has....why did i ever create it????

We are just starting out, but i can guarantee we will go over our budget.

I too can't cut my list anymore it is about 350. Me and FH have Huge Families and close family friends that are sometimes more like Family then those we are related too. We each have work people which are really more friends then obligations. It adds up and before you know it you are at 350 -- I didn't even think I knew that many people until I did the guest list!

So what I am saying is in a few months from now I will be in your boat!

My budget stays the same but my spending just increases. I don't know what I'm thinking. I have to stop watching Platinum Weddings. I have champagne dreams on a beer budget. I see all these ideas and I tell myself, Yeah I can do that
The worst part is my sister is getting married in about three weeks and she had to add like 15 people to her invite list (family we don't speak to) and we all thought that they would decline but we were wrong. So now I have unaccounted for people and not enough room for them.
