Hi, FH and I are considering going to Aruba for our honeymoon and I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a nice hotel to stay at there. We would like to have plenty of activities like snorkeling and that kind of thing. We'd also like to be in a very clean and well-kept place. Can anyone recommend a place?

We stayed at the Radisson - it was great. But if I had to go back, we'd stay at the Hyatt. I posted a long review of my trip on the honeymoon board some time ago. HTH.

I have to agree with the other ladies......The Hyatt is the best. As for all the extra activities you and your hubby want to participate in....the Hyatt is on Palm Beach which is the tourist section of the island. The great advantage is that everything is right there...snorkeling, parasailing, jet skis, etc. Not to mention the casinos.
I go to Aruba every year. I have eaten in a whole bunch of restaurants so if you have any other questions, please feel free to fm mail.
I am going back at the end of February....and I cannot wait!

We were thatclose to booking the Tara Suites at the Bucuti Beach Resort. It's a little away from the action, because it's on Eagle Beach instead of Palm Beach. It comes highly recommended and there are great reviews on tripadvisor.com
The Hyatt was our 2nd choice.

I'm all for the Hyatt too. We stayed there for our honeymoon this past September. It was beautiful, clean, friendly. There is a water sports company that is located in the hotel. I believe it was called Red Sail Sports. You can book everything right in the lobby. We did a Sunset cruise on a Catamaran and we rented the wave runners for an hour. Their pier is right outside the hotel. Good luck.

THat is where we booked. The #1 thing we wanted was an awesome beach - and a quiet atmosphere - so the Bucuti was for us.

We're also staying at the bucuti! We wanted peace and quiet, no kids and an uncrowded beach. I think for lots of activities, etc. you are definitely good in the high-rise area...we were in between the bucuti, raddisson & hyatt before we decided exactly what we were looking for!

Re: ? about Aruba hotels
Thank you all so much for your feedback and ideas! If we go to Aruba, we'll probably stay at the Hyatt. The problem is, though, being that it is not all inclusive, I think we would go broke trying to feed FH. He is like a newborn, needs to be fed every three hours or else he throws a tantrum. I'm not kidding, it's so funny! So, I was thinking we'd probably be better off at an all-inclusive like Sandals, where the food is kind of built in the price but they have no idea how much FH is going to eat so we'd end up making out anyway. I really hope we still end up going to Aruba but it looks like money factor included, we might end up at the Sandals Grande in St. Lucia
