Originally I wanted my 2 flowergirls to have ivory dresses (like me). Now I want them to match the B.M.'s dresses, which will be a sky/light blue. Would it look bad if the flowergirl dresses were a different shade of light blue?

I don't think that would look bad at all. I would put them in a different style dress though

No I don't think so, as long as the blues compliment each other.

As long as the colors go together they can wear any color you want! Maybe you want them to wear a different color all together...what other colors are you using? For example...if you are using light blue and pink...put them in pink?

Nope! I'm doing that too. What I did was find a mostly white dress with pink accents. There is a pink sash and little pink rosettes on the skirt. It's just enough to get away with it not matching the pink BM dresses.

i think that 2 different shades would be fine as long as they are in the same color scheme and tone
