I have to get my 4th and final wisdom tooth pulled on Wednesday afternoon. I had the other three done all in one shot last April and DH was with me. Since I'm just getting one done, and survived having three done at one time, I figured that I'm not going to need any help getting home. I will have local anesthesia but that's it.
For those who had one wisdom tooth pulled, did you have to have someone with you (besides for emotional support)?

Re: ? about having wisdom tooth pulled
I think that you should have someone with you. I know that after I had mine pulled there was no way I was driving myself home. I was out for mine.
Good Luck!

Re: ? about having wisdom tooth pulled
My mother had only one pulled and local anesthesia and she drove herself home just fine. Good luck with it!
Had one pulled last Wednesday and went to pick out my cabinets and paint samples right after it. If you have a good dentist, you won't feel a thing. I took two Motrin right before I left for the dentist. Took two aboyt 4 hours after. Went to work in teh AM. DOn't worry, you should be fine.

Re: ? about having wisdom tooth pulled
I am getting one pulled in a few weeks, and because I am pregnant, they can't use the epinephrine in the novocaine, so I will definitely be bringing DH to take me home. But you should be fine, my dentist keeps telling me it's nothing and I have nothing to worry about!

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I'm taking the subway home, so driving home is not even an issue. I just can't see my DH taking a day off of work or my MIL coming into the city from LI with a bad leg to help. I'm doing this after work and have every intention of going back to work the next day.
