? about slips

How do I know what kind of slip I need for my dress? The place I ordered my dress said when it comes in we'll figure it out but I'm sure it is going to be more expensive there than if I try to shop around for one. If I wanted to go on ebay to find one...how the heck do I have any idea about what I need! Arrrrrr...frustrataed!!

HMM ... i guess you can wait until you get your dress and they tell you the one you need and then you can just buy it somewhere else ... how do you know if you need a slip or not? Is this to make it puffy?

It's a simple Aline but they said you always need a little something so you don't step on the front of it when you are walking.

a crinoline has nothing to do with stepping on the front of the dress, if you step on it its bc they didnt hem it right hahahaha

mine was a-line and let me say the sample i tried wasnt that poofy at all, when it came in my dress was HUGE. Ill post pics in a sec to show you. Its weird but i keep seeing this post this week. Its a crinoline you need not a slip and honestly you shouldn't pay extra for this, it comes with the dress

here is the sample of my dress that i tried on when i bought it.

Here is what it looked like when it came in. It had so many layers of crinoline underneath it was crazy. I had to remove a layer and it still looked pretty poofy on wedding day.

The samples you try on in the store dont have all the layers of crinoline your dress would.

Even my bm dresses had crinoline underneath, its part of the dress. If you pay for a-line then it better be a bit poofy and not pay extra for this. Its sewn into the dress, not separate but they can take layers out or add layers

the beading on my train was covered with fabric to protect it

yeah, trust me i had no idea my dress was gonna be that big...and the pics dont even show just how big it was...i took up almost the whole dressing room and its a pretty big dressing room lol.

The samples in the store are old, worn and torn many times. They did tell me though when i bought it that it will be poofier and it will have more layers of crinoline. So your bridal shop should let you know this info. I just didnt realize it'd be like 4 layers hahaha
