[\QUOTE] Right I read that but if the sister aunt or whoever is logged on- Im always logged on- the kids can still see the topics - all of them so we need a parental control i think that would be the safest thing. I have a question I never did the album but do you have to be logged on to view it?
What we need on this site is up to Ron and Liz's discretion. Let's just respect their choice or stop using the forum.
Wrong where? What I was trying to say was, it is not our place to debate the choices made by the owners of the site. It is an internet forum if anyone disagrees with the way it is run they have every right to leave.
I think you missed the point, no one was telling anyone to do anything and no-one is saying they dont like it either- we are all giving suggestions and view points about the new board. and all great things are made up of all great ideas given by others.

Re: About the flower girls... And having a new board
this I completely agree on- some of these topics are a bit out of whack.

Inmust say, some of those posts made me Blush too...and I found it a little bit offensive too...not that I would post on them to show how many lovers I had, or how long my Husband and I can go, or what the weirdest thing happened while having sex, etc etc....
And as far as parents callin about their kids viewing this stuff, its expected, there is not any warning to deter people from coming to Long ISland Weddings, no over 18 explicit content warnings, nothing..
So, why is everyone so bent about having a seperate board>?> Ron is really doing you a favor by seeing whats going on, and letting everyone continue, in a special 'adult' board...
And as far as boards being 'watched' they always have been...ROn owns this website and if he has a problem with something or sees something he does not like, he has the authority to take care of it....

I think we have a right to debate whatever we want..that's the point of the OT board, right?Obviiously we're all respecting Ron's decision..we're all HERE aren't we..

Re: About the flower girls... And having a new board
oh yea definately, we respect his decision why does everyone keep questioning that? In fact we are trying to help him with improvising this site to keep out the kids. because yes some of these topics are funny, sad, r or x rated and if this board was created for the absence of children great!

Just wanted to point this out from LIW's privacy statement:
If registration is required for any services on the LIWeddings.com Site, and a user submits information to LIWeddings.com' Web site as part of the registration process which indicates that such user is a child, the child’s parent or guardian will receive an e-mail alerting them to the child’s registration and providing instructions on how the parent can delete the child’s registration, if so desired.

Well this IS the 'debate' board now .. I guess people are taking that literally, eh?

But I agree, let this die everyone!! Off topic is a new forum, and its the owners RIGHT to create it if they'd like. Given all the facts, I cannot blame them. Nothing suspicious is going on.. I , for one, LIKE it here and think NWR has its purpose also
Maybe by tomorrow we can come up with some original topics for coversation rather than just debating the merits of being 'classless' or why there is an 'O-T' and 'NWR' board
