ACCIDENT ON NORTHERN STATE ...

Included me this morning ...
I hit someone from behind. I was going about 20 MPH and someone slammed on their breaks and I hit them. The man was nice and calm and I was so thankful no one was hurt. His car had no damage but mine is horrible. I dont understand - it LOOKS like I was going 60 MPH but I was barely going 20. Thats because I was behind an SUV so I went underneath it (which caused a lot of damage to my car and which is also part of the reason why I couldn't stop in time because no one can see in front of those huge cars.) Im NOT blaming him at all Im just saying its a huge obstruction of view. He was a sweet man telling me that it wasn't my fault and that these things happen. He hit someone as well but that car drove away ::weird::

Anyway, my dad came and picked me up. I made him breakfast and let him listen to I LOVED HER FIRST by HEARTLAND. We both cried and thats our song for the wedding now!

Im so thankful Im not hurt and more importantly that I didnt hurt anyone.

So much for waking up extra early to get to work before the students ... I had a zillion things to do. Now I have to rent a car ... and do a million other things.

glad to hear your ok....and the guy was nice...NSp stinks like that...people stoping short for NO REASON!!!

Glad to hear you're okay - it really shakes you up!

I did the SAME THING last November! I have a compact car and I was behind a SUV that stopped short on the NSP...barely going like 20 because it was traffic in the rain. We were on a downward incline so my front end went under her car....my car was ALMOST totalled! Her car had a little bit of my paint under her bumper - and she called the insurance company! Granted she was driving a Lexus SUV. I so hate driving any more....I've had too many accidents & near accidents.

if it makes you feel any better, I got 2 tickets the week of my wedding. Ironically I was picking up our poster size photo... not only was parked in an area of 'No Parking after 4pm', but my inspection sticker was expired too. (I actually filled up the meter at 3:30... bah!)

I took it as a sign... if something not so great happens before the wedding, you might've avoided some even bigger problem that would've happened on your wedding day. Might just be that silly superstition getting to me.
