Addressing placecards

I am not the brightest when it comes to addressing things and I need help on how to word the place cards.

Mr. and Mrs. Doe

or

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

I did, Mr. and Mrs. John Doe. We have many family members with the same last name so it would have been very confusing to them if we just did
