Advice for first time dress shopping??

So! I'm going tomorrow for my very first trip dress shopping! Any advice from some experienced ladies??

I'm going to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. I already have some pictures printed of dresses I like. I'm bring my strapless bra (its black, but whatever) and will have on nice underwear! I'm bringing my mom, MOH, one BM, and two junior BMs. I didn't want that many, but they all wanted to come so I caved.

Any advice, ladies??

I agree with flynn, dont go out of your price range. I did that and regretted it big time. Also have fun with it! Dont get discouraged if you dont find the one! It took me almost a year to find my dream dress!!

I would say go by yourself first. I went to 7 stores by myself untill I found the one. Then I brought my mom and sister. It just made the process easier. Less opinions...

I agree with Nella. I went with FH to first 3 appts, and 1 each with 1 friend, and ended up going by myself and buying my gown. No one's seen me in it. I didn't want conflicting opinions.

I wore a strapless bra and little bootie shorts so I could hop in and out of dresses quickly. I also brought my own heels. If you have long hair bring something to tie your hair up (it'll make it easier for the sales girl to zip/button/lace up your dress. Def try on every style silhouette. You might realize a certain style you liked isn't actually the right one for your body. Don't get discouraged if you don't find 'the one' your first try. Most people don't. Enjoy this moment! Good luck!
