I think you should get a doggy if it will make you feel better. Once he/she is in the house FH will go bananas over him/her…Good luck!!

I think you should definitely get a dog. When I was living at home, there were 4 people who worked full-time and we made it work. I think it would cheer you up. Hope it all works out.

I think a dog would be a very good thing! Why not get a dog that is already trained? Or if you want a puppy, maybe get it on a weekend so it has a couple of days to get used to things.

I actually have a dog picked out already (I am so bad I know). He is already 4 months old now and the owner is willing to do some of the training for me so I could pick him up when he is 5 months old. She said he is already crate trained so this would help tremendously.

I'm sorry it's been a bit of a rough time lately. I have a wonderful friend in Norwalk...I could introduce you guys ;). On the doggie issue....go out and get yourself a doggie!!!!!!!!!! There will never be a good time and you will never feel 'ready' or 'responsible'...so I say go GET THE DOGGIE. FH will love it because who doesn't love a doggie and a little doggie at that.

I would reevaluate the situation. For me, dog's don't fill voids. Maybe there is something else you can do to keep you busy without all the responsibility. Sorry if I am a debbie downer, I am just not an animal lover.

I think you should absolutely get a dog!!! Research breeds, find something you think will suit both of your personalities and then find a breeder... The pup will br a great companion and fill all those gaps you have right now.
