I am a bridesmaid and am trying to help plan my friend's shower for June in Salem, MA. Anyway, she is having 100 guests at her shower!!!! So, we are trying to find an affordable favor and centerpieces. Any suggestions???
Its kinda irritating, because Im getting married at the end of May and her shower has to be right when I get back from honeymoon. She hasnt helped plan any of my shower according to my MOH and is now expecting me to pay over $350 for her shower of 100 women. She wants alcohol there, but is having a cash bar at her wedding. Ive been planning my wedding for a year now, and she just got engaged on Christmas, wedding in Aug. Vent!

Wow! I don't think it's fair to have BM's pay for a shower...especially one so large...IMO...anyway...a friend of mine mentioned that she got everyone umbrellas...get it...shower! lol I told my mom about this cause I thought it would be cute at my shower...you could get colors and even at the $1 store!

sorry that your friend is being difficult- for centerpeices, what about loose flowers, a plant or a bottle of wine with 2 glasses nicely decorated?
favors- maybe something simple - best one I ever got was an ice cream scooper- the girl's mom went out to the outlets and raided the kitchen store. hth

Hahaha! You knew just what to say!
I found out she complained about spending a lot less than what I might have to spend for hers. And, she is one of two MOH's. The other one is doing everything. She hasnt contributed at all! So weird. I never thought this would happen.

Ikea has little votives.... really cheap.
Here's a picture - i am using them as part of my centerpieces. You could easily decorate them with ribbon etc.

I had to plan and pay for my friends shower in May and we got the favors from this website and they were inexpensive and the warehouse is in Syosset, so you can pick them up there and not pay shipping!
We got little silver coffee scoopers, since she's a coffee freak..I think they were about $1 each!

Look on here. I found a wisk and coaster for under $2 They have more things also.
