NYCHICK

I purchased my entire bridal party's attire, a small personal gift isn't going to kill me, it was just a question

I am actually getting them each a piece of jewelry(supposedly it is tradition)...........who insinuated that it was going to kill you.....

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

Now ladies we have been going very good all this time , let's not have this board turn into some of the others.
And on another note I finished precana and I did get my BM a few things= jewelry for the day, a sep bracelet, a pic frame that we will take individual pics and out in each one of the DAY and I am going to get a pair of slippers so that they can wear when there DOGS start to hurt.

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

well I went to the one in Massapequa park, I live in brooklyn, but it was worth the trip. It was all day 830-6pm. You bring your lunch and they help with breakfast. It was FREE. The class is very informative. They talk about sex, divorce, contraceptives. You had to go to confession, and attend a 5 oclock mass and they give you the cert. to prove that you went. If you want info let me know.

Ours was $100 and we did ours in Brooklyn also. It was actually a very interesting day. My FI and I were pleasantly surprised. Don't worry!! It's not painful!

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

the confession wasn't that bad, all he wanted to know was if you had been away from the church and if you had pre marital sex, he said a prayer for you to absolve you of your sins. They just let you know that divorce is NOT an option in the catholic church. if you know anything about the other that you can't handle or get over then maybe you should postpone it.The other 2 couples were really nice they were older married for 30 and 35 years and they just let you know how it is in their homes that it is not always peaches.

Thanks everyone. I haven't officially booked her, but her name is Oksana. She's very lovely.

No, she didn't use airbrush... the makeup she used is actually theatrical makeup (foundation) and MAC for eye color. It's not heavy at all

AUG 21 04 - HONEYMOON UPDATE

I have checked with travel agents and Carnival directly, the balconies are all sold out on oyur cruise, including the suites, so we're going with Carnival Destiny sailing same day but out of San Juan - itinerary is ok, I've been to all of the places except Aruba, FH hasn't been to any so it's cool...just negoitating lowest price!

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

we are leaving the next day as well I am not sure of what time our flights will be. We are traveling on princess dawn. Out of San Juan, we are going to barbados,st.lucia,st.thomas,st. marteen, and antigua. I went to Aruba year before last and it was alot of fun, it would probably have to be something that you would want to come back to.

I don't think sharing condoscending comments was one of them either.......FYI my answer to you was 1 line and very direct.....I purposely put a smiley face at the end of it to make it known that I was being hostile but some people insist on getting riled up for no reason apparently.
