Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
Okay, this hair thing is really driving me nuts. I have 4 months to go and have to make a decision- to perm or not to perm that is the question!
I like the flexibility of a perm for wedding day hair but I haven't permed in almost 8 years and I am getting tired of braiding my hair! I want a different look and I think the braids are weakening my hair.
Do you think I should just perm it? Also considering a texturizer which I hear can be straightened too.
It may sound ridiculous but I'm a little scared of the perm after all this time... Should I just get over my fear?
Any suggestions?

GT - from what I understand about texturizers you basically cut all of your hair off and you're sporting a pixie boyish cut...
I just tried that new Profective perm I am in love with it...my stylist is going to kill me she said no perms until August...has anyone found a good weaver on this board, I like mine but I need someone with killa skills!!!! (preferably on Long Island)

I think earlier in this post there was a discussion on make-up artists that some of the girls used.
I decided to do it myself.

I am using Lynda Lane of Chameleon Makeup she was suggested by nsgraham, I had the trial back in January at my home...I fell in love with her a joy to work with and she does airbrushing (so you won't have to retouch all day and remain flawless)
FM me for her # I'm in the office right now and don't have my wedding planner with me

I am using Lisa Diaz from Bobbi Brown Bloomingdales, Roosevelt Field. I have had 10 trials. ( I know that I am being anal but hey pictures last forever) I have my hair trial tomorrow and I'll post pics. I originally wanted my hair like Toni Braxton's when she got married. I was going to add hair and the whole nine but my mommy reminded me how hot it might be and now I am trying to find a updo that I will love.

We did a practice 1st dance/cutting cake I had our e-pics running as a slide show on my laptop. THey liked that too.
Every had a great time & loved how organized it all was. (blame it on my profession - I am in finance... .LOL)
