Alixi, yes I wanted all that hair too, but in August it will be way too hot and too many people hugging and kissing you, my stylist told me most Brides faint from the heat and exhaustion! LOL

HAS ANYONE HAD THEIR BRIDAL SHOWER OR EPARTY YET.....DETAILS

I think my shower is on July 10th. One of my BMs who lives out of town is coming up to be fitted and she said we should make a whole day out of it and go get massages and facials.

The pictures came out nice. I like the way your hair came out. Are you getting nervous yet? I'm not having a trial done. My hair stylist has been doing my hair for years and I know she would hook a sista up!! I do believe my shower is on the 30th of July. Can't wait.

Nervous, ha! I started freaking out the other day. It just snuck up on me. I remember feeling like it was going to take so long to get here and now it is almost around the corner.

I can not wait for everything to be over. I am so looking forward to the honeymoon. I am truly going to relax. I need it after all this planning. I know I am going to go through 'WEDDING PLANNING WITHDRAWAL' after the wedding, but I will be A O K!!

Alixgirl - you look lovely. I especially loved the drop curls - very princessy.

I don't know when my shower will be. The girls are trying to keep it a surprise... we'll see how long the secret will last.

As for my hair trial... I will not have one. My stylist is very good, and I am confident she will do an amazing job.

On another note - I went by Tri-county over the weekend. There is this booth, Barrons, which has really nice veils and headpieces. I placed an order for both. His prices are quite reasonable. As soon as I receive the veil and headpiece, I will post pictures.

Thank you! How do I get to Tri County from Valley Stream? I've heard so much about it that I feel I should go!

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

I went for my first fitting today and I did not need alot of alterations. I'm having the cap sleeves removed and the back bustled. I took my mother to get her dress and it was a huge success. I thought it would take her awhile to find one, but it was only a couple of hours.

I am using my regular hairstylist. I wouldnt even consider using anyone else.

I would like to know how to get someone from MAc to do my makeup. That would be fabulous.

WOW that's early! You are on the 12:30pm flight leaving JFK right? If so, you need to make sure that you are done by 9 or 10am. Since it's an international flight we need to give ourselves 2 hours.

Yes

Unfortunately...it will be that time. I don't want to change anything (flight). I will have to be in the airport by 10AM. So, I figured, I could get to this salon at 5AM to be done by 9AM. I don't think, it will happen. This was just a look I wanted to try.
