Hey Ladies,
I lost hope for a minute and thought you guys forgot about me. Thanks for the suggestions. Thanks for your suggestions, one thing for sure is that I am using 'Without You' by Alicia Keys for our first dance and 'By your side' Sade for the cake cutting. Other than that I really had my heart set on coming out to 'Here and Now' by Luther but my fi killed it for me by saying it was used in a joke by luther on oprah so that's that. I am still mad at him by the way. Anyway girls I can't believe only a month and a half to go. Why isn't this weight coming off faster. I was thinking of having the girls walk into Kenny G's Wedding Song but who knows, i need to come up with ideas very quickly. I am going to listen to all your suggestions this weekend and hopefully I will have a list for you guys on Monday. Please keep this post going......

Jo

Sisters I need a little advice w/ hair extentions. I am getting an up do for the wedding and I need to purchase some hair for fullness and length. What brand would you recommend? I do not wear them on a regular, so I am totally clueless. I would like to have it with me when I go see my hairdresser. TIA!!!!

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

How would this style look with braids (either micro with the ends out for the curls) or cornrows or flat twists at the base and then the curls on top. Would I have to wear the veil to the back?

Trying to figure out hair is driving me nuts!

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES

Hi Ladyluv,
I think Fleetress and Milkyway are some brands you can find in the beauty supply store. Or you could go to a hair shop like Luggo's in Brooklyn or Ruthie's in Hempstead and buy on the weft (but more expensive) I guess it depends on how much or the look you want to achieve- Hope this helps...

GTBRIDE04- thanks a mil.I like the hair style you've posted alot. Is there a back view to this hair style? I have to start going for trial hair sessions. Maybe next month I do believe that style would look nice w/ the micro braids.

hey i'm wearing extensions a weave also started my trials at least two months ago but i hear the bestplace to order hair is online from hisandherhair.com (something like that) i have the catalogs they're free i know a few stylists that recommended them and i have a friend who flies out to the store to buy direct all the way from NC (she works for the airlines) the quality is better than any local hair shop! i'm ordering this weekend..just a dilemma narrowing down salons it's a toss between two

I love the style but no braids, curls are so much classier, but the braids would be good for days after while your on your honeymoon! Why do we AA sistah's have to go thru these hair ordeals!

I GOT MY WEDDING WEAVE IN!!!!

We're trying to go for a Toni Braxton wedding look - lots of wavy curls. So my little sister/hairdresser put in my weave - hair down to my back - it's crazy, but I love it.

I love the versitality of black hair - we can do braids, weaves, dreads, natural or a relaxer. When we get tired of one, we can just switch to another.

hey nsgraham isn't it great we can change up like that, but don't get carried away girl, can you sing like toni? LOL anyway enjoy it....my stylist fought me on leaving it out and long she said i'd be busy all day with the hugging, crying, and kissing so we're doing a chignon i can let t down later on that eve and on the honeymoon, right now i'm sporting about 16-18 inches...but i wish the girls n the office would stop asking so many questions!!!
