Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
Although I haven't been yet, I've sent two of my best friends there and they loved it and I am soon going for a facial (Christmas gift from FH), anyway check out
They have two locations- Harlem- 135th and Adam Clayton Powell and Brooklyn- Fort Greene.
Hope this helps...

Speaking of Entertainment Integrators, one of my good friends highly recommended them and I agree the music at her wedding was great. However, when my FH called they never got back to us, so he called again and tentatively scheduled but they didn't follow through- this was late Nov./ early Dec.
FH thought that was poor business practice and ruled them out- but, I hear you guys raving about them here and I am tempted to give them another try. What do you think- are they that worth it?
I used EI and they were awesome. They played for my hubby's HS reunion and I just re-hired them to do my HS reunion. They run a club as well as the dj business as well as have lives to lead. Them not returning the call is no reflection of their professionalism or the work that they do. I have to stand up for them b/c I have recommended to a lot of people and not one single soul has had a bad word to say yet. He will call you back. Ask anyone that has used them.
PS during their peak season, NOV/DeC holidays that just passed they were extremly busy, I did not get a call back from him either, but I know the kind of people they are so I know all will be well.

Has anyone come across any good day spas on Long Island or in NYC that cater to African American women or a good spa in general
The home Spa in Bklyn is awesome. I went there on my b-day and I loved them. Home Spa
The owner just opened another location in Costa Rica and she has 2 locations in Bklyn.

They charge by the # of people you are having. We booked them in 2001, so I know the price I have is old. I will Fm you something else as well.
Sassy used them most recently she could give you a general idea.

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
I really like Laurie - she comes to your house, which is great. Jack and Rose has a lot of positive reviews, but a few negatives, and have been reported to the BBB 3 times. I got the feeling that the more you spend the more important you are to them. Don't know anything about Flower Michele.

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
I say go meet with Jack and Rose!!!!! There are too many good reviews to let 3 BBB complaints stop you from looking. Have you set up a meeting with him?

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
I agree with NYCHICK about Jack and Rose. There were only 3 complaints and he took care of two of them.
