didnt come close to breaking even....Infact, we didnt even get half. But that is not what a wedding is about, so it's ok. I will still spend the money all over again!

We are spending $12K and are getting about $15K from both families so we will be breaking even, if you include the honeymoon.

Question: Are you comparing what you spent, versus what you receive? Or are you asking will you still be in debt after the wedding?
I never though about being broke after the wedding because we are paying cash upfront for everything. Anything we make will be put into the bank account as a fresh start, with nothing to owe. Just curious as what the actual question is.

Not sure about breaking even - I don't think that's a common occurence...but definitely not broke. The wedding was paid for - essentially - about 6 months ago...now we're just saving for a house.
ETA - I say essentially b/c we haven't paid the vendors - the $$ is just sitting in the bank waiting for our 'due dates'.
