Re: after ceremony (w/ poll)
I used rose petals, but because I had my ceremony at the hall, no one knew to throw them as we came back down the aisle, even though I said it on the program and had it printed on the cone itself!

We did nothing, even though we had our ceremony at the church.

I'm doing wedding streamers. It's like wedding ribbons but longer.

Re: after ceremony (w/ poll)
i'm doing either the ribbons or sparklers!!!! we really wanted to get married 4th of july weekend but it was to expensive.....so we're the weekend before.....our 'anniversary' is 4th of july and i LOVE fireworks so its a little detail about us that everyone knows.
i plan on ordering them from this site. they seem to have really good prices, and lots of options:

I think bubbles. I think the rose petals wouldn't work as well, we are getting married at the RH.

the same thing happened to me! And I was so annoyed because I had spent hours and hours making the petal cones and burning my fingers with hot glue just for that photo of us coming down the aisle with the petals being thrown at us!

If you do bird seed and fill your own bags don't put to much in it. We got it pelted at us

Re: after ceremony (w/ poll)
I really wanted to do rose petals.... but our church wont let us!!! so we r doing bubbles, which at first i was totally upset about. But then i looked at pictures and i think the bubbles look better than rose petals!!!

Re: after ceremony (w/ poll)
Unfortunately, my church doesn't allow us to throw anything - we even offered to clean up! We will most likely be doing ribbon wands - they look great in pics

Re: after ceremony (w/ poll)
ooops. Let me elaborate on why:
Bubbles: I heard they could stain. Not that my dress wasn't stained by the wet day that it was...but that's how I nixed that option. ALSO: rose petals worked even though it was raining. Bubbles...I don't think so.
Ribbon wands: throwing stuff was a last minute detail for me...plus, I didn't want anything that required any type of assembly.
Bird seed. Too many pigeons at the church. I envisioned getting attacked like in Venice. Though, my cousin did this and wasn't attacked.
Rose petals: totally didn't think the church would allow it, but they did. Looked beautiful. I paid an extra $20 form a local florist the day before to arrange for LOTS of rose petals in bags. Worked great.
But, either way: it was a small picture and not the most important detail.
