I am not allowed to throw anything (rose petals, bird seed etc...) Do you ladies have any other ideas besides using bubbles?

ribbon wands?
basically, you attach ribbons to a stick and people wave them around. They can be really pretty.

We did bubble because we werent allowed to thrown anything either...its so unfair. i dreamed my wedding day would include rose petals being tossed

noise makers were used at one family wedding. The kids had a great time with it!
I've been to weddings where balloons were released.

You can combine the two and have people wave the wands high, so the ribbons sway and the bells chime at the same time.... Check out some of these sites HaloHeaven

All the guests will have a silver bell...and when we are pronounced husband and wife everyone will ring the bells. When we met with my officiant she said that the meaning behind the bells is that all your guests dreams and wishes for your marriage will be carried through the sound waves of the bells for all to hear. As part of the ceremony she is going to explain the symbolism behind the bells to our guests.

i wasnt allowed to throw anything either but i did anyway! we paid so much money to the Church that we just didnt care! what were they gonna do, we were long gone after that!!!

It soo stinks! The church doesn't want to have to clean anything up! We are doing bubbles. But the ribbon wands are so pretty!

I guess this is similar to the ribbon wands - its a wand and at the top there is a cardboard cut-out of wedding bells and all along the edges there were actuall little bells (to help make some noise) they looked really nice!

rose petals can stain. if a lot of weddings had rose petals then there would be a staining problem. i was upset, too. i always wanted rose petals.
my church allowed birdseed, but after my sister told me she had birdseed in her bra and stuff after the wedding, i decided to do bell ringing.

Well, mcb916... I'm trying to get the Big Kahuna (mom, she's VERY involved with our church) to fight for our rights to have rose petals thrown. Maybe she'll threaten not to sing there anymore!!!!

what about the rose petals from michaels. they are fake but they will not stain (i dont think) That is what my friend had. white rose petals from michaels in petal cones given out!
