So now that the wedding planning is behind us what is the next big project for you?

For me - we moved right into the 'home' phase. We started looking for homes on LI but the prices are crazy and we're pretty sure the bubble will burst soon. In the meanwhile, as we sit tight, we decide to update our co-op. We updated the kitchen - no more wallpaper! and the bathroom - again no more wallpaper! We're hoping to be done in a few weeks and then I can post pics. In the meanwhile I've been consumed with accessory shopping. Shower curtains and soap dishes. lol

Back to working on my doctorate. I am praying that I can finish this year. We are also working on DH's mom's 60th bday celebration and figuring how we can do that along with celebrating our 30th b-days as well.

We plan on going to Italy later this year too and to Amsterdam, Jamaica and Australia next year...then the babies!

you will love it, according to his tales.. he partied like a rock star

ETA: he didn't go there for the red light district. he said walking down those streets was a freak show

Our big project is traveling right now! We are going to Vegas on Sat for 5 days, hopefully to Michigan (my bro lives there) in May for my nephews 2nd birthday, my other bro is getting married in July (yay bridesmaid!) and then to Turks & Caicos in November for our 1st Anniversary-then BABY!

We are in 'in contract' for a co-op in queens. We don't plan on having a baby this year so that is about it as far a 'big' projects.

DH and I are both in grad school, writing our dissertations, which we HOPE will be done in 2006. But EVERYTHING is more interesting than writing, so we've been spending a lot of time painting/decorating. I may never have a real job, but my kitchen is SOOO cute!

We're going to put in wood floors next month and then get a dog-no dog till we get wood floors. Pretty much the same gig for me going on, class + work. DH is leaving on deployment in Aug and will be away for a year, so we hope to take a trip before the deployment. Kinda busy cramming in time together amidst normal life. After he leaves I'll start some home renovation DIY projects.

Jenn- that's AWESOME!!!!

we're in the same boat- right now we're doing all of our traveling. We leave tomorrow for a 10 day cruise to st. maarten, st thomas, san juan, tortola and great stirrup cay (or nassau). Italy (and maybe greece) will hopefully be in the fall.

other than that, my only project is nursing school, and we have the occasional baby talks... but who knows when they'll become more than just 'talks'

We busted our azzes last year totally renovating our house and we just have to finish the kitchen and do all the work on the yard, new driveway, etc. But, that's my DH's project.

I just became president of our local division of The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, so, for the next two years, I'll be absorbed in that.

Currently looking to buy a townhouse in Northern NJ. Simultaneously need to find a new job. Once those are done (hopefully summertime) it's on to babies!

Puppy time!!!!

This past summer, we couldn't work on the house because of DH's shoulder surgery but this coming summer, we have TONS of house projects - painting, decorating, the roof, flower gardens, and we need a stoop!

Our projects - I just found out I'm going to Chicago for a job interview in 10 days so we might be moving to Chicago in the spring!

A lot of travel coming up, but it's mostly work/research related. Dublin and Belfast in end of January, Montreal in April.

We're just trying to see where we end up - I'd like to stay in NY, but getting a tenure track professor job is tough - so you go where the offer is.

Right now we're waiting on were DH is going to intern so i can get my interviewing, etc. underway.

Also, planning a vacation.

1) Moving upstate to be with DH who moved there for a new job
2) Putting the finishing touches / purchasing furniture and decorating our house (our new construction is estimated to be complete in Feb -- yeah!)
3) Possibly looking for a new job once everything else is settled
4) Lose about 20 lbs to look good at my BIL's wedding!

Whew - 2006 is gonna be busy!!!
