after my reception i am going to a hotel near the hall and we are going to go right along with wedding night plans

Just check w/ hotel bars.....the ones I called for a Sunday night close at 10pm. OR you have to pay to keep them open later.

Our wedding ends at 2 a.m., so I doubt anyone is going to want to do anything afterwards. We'll just go right next door to our hotel and go from there.

Sunday night wedding here as well, which goes until 12:30, so we wont be having an after party here just going staright to our new house to spend our first night there!!!!

I am having a day wedding that ends at 6pm. Afterwards we will probably either hang out at the catering halls' restaurant bar or a bar down the block from our hall. unfortunately the hotels near by dont really have a bar to hang out at so i can't do that.

Welcome, congrats and Happy Planning!
Our wedding is the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and the reception ends at 12:30am. We have a lot of OOT guests (or friends and cousins who will be staying at the hotel) and a bunch of partyers....so, we are paying to keep a bar/restuarant open within walking distance to the hotel (like a block away) to party it up afterwards!

Hang out @ the bar of my hotel with the Bridal Party, then celebrate with FH with chocolate and champagne. Thats so gay, but I love it! Brunch the next day!

I'm getting married on a Sunday and the reception ends at 11:30, so it will be late. But since it falls on Columbus day weekend I may just try to extend it and have the DJ play for an extra hour. After that nothing but rest although I could totally see FH's, GM's wanting to party some more, lol.

We're paying extra for the hotel bar to stay open until 4:00am. This way people can continue on if they'd like. However, they pay for their own drinks at that point
same here.. our reception ends at 1am on a saturday.. and then we will be going to a hotel where we have a suite n the bar will be open til 4am for our guests

I wish wish wish that we could have an afterparty but its on a Sunday and I even thought about spending the extra money to have a Saturday night but couldnt swing it. So, nothing, maybe even going home rather than a hotel to save the money since we arent going to check in until like 1am and then have to check out in a few hours.
We are planning something like a pre-party for us and the bridal party. After the rehearsal dinner which is just going to be the bp, no family or kids, we are having it at a lounge/club restaurant type place so after dinner, there will be dancing/music and drinking ...this is in place of having the after party we wanted

Def an after party, our wedding ends at 12 on a fri night, so we are def renting the bar out in our hotel...

Our wedding ends at 1AM... by the time we are all situated and back at the hotel, it probably will be like 2AM already... so if people want to stay up and chill they can. If not, off to bed we go!
