OK I have heard some brides get REALLY depressed when the Wedding is over, the planning is done, etc... I personally can not wait!!!

Don't get me wrong, I loved this entire process, stress or no stress it was exciting and I know it will all be worth it when I see it all come together, but I am just so done with the 'Bride Brain'

How many of you think you are going to be down in the dumps?

I agree with you. I will not be a bit sad. Just relief that this is over and ready to start life as a married woman. I like the planning process somewhat but it has been and still is very draining and I can't wait to get rid of that feeling.

Not too mention I think it is sucking all our money out of us.

I am not depressed about the wedding planning being over. Planning my wedding was very stressful and I don't miss it!!! On the other hand I am pretty depressed my honeymoon is over!!!!
I could've lived in that place forever!!!! I've been pretty down in the dumps about it. But as far as missing the planning NO WAY!!!! I am very happy about that!!! lol

I actually think I will be upset.. even a little.. only bc I love telling people that I am getting married bc that's so exciting.. BUT.. I HATED planning it.. it was such an aggavating experience that I can't wait for it to be over..

I had fun in the begining but now my brain hurts!!! MAke-up/hair here or at salon, who are the 5 men escorting FMIL in to the reception?!?!?!?!? What to get as gifts, where to have RD, do I invite ppl from work? I am starting to hate making decisions!!!

So no I am not going to miss it!

My sister went through a bad depression but it was not so much about the planning but as much as the huge change of changing your name and learning to live with someone,etc...but it only lasted a short while. I am nervous about going through this.

I was a little shocked after the wedding was over to realize that I had no more wedding plans to make but so far, haven't wanted to throw myself off a bridge. Pretty much enjoying returning to being a normal person again

I really have mixed emotions....I am excited to be married, and happy to finally have some us & me time....BUT...............

I get so depressed other days that it is all over. I LOVED planning every minute of my wedding. Its embarassing but sometimes when my husband is working on the weekend I walk around the house in my Tiara. LOL..I know I am crazy but it was the best day of my life and I am sad its over.

I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

I really hope that I am not depressed. I am sure that I will miss the push push of the planning but there are so many things that I am looking forward to completing with my life and my family after the wedding is over.........I pray depression doesnt set in

I will say - the let down or the adjustment to all the changes is ONE thing, but please ladies don't let the PWD happen to you!!!

I know someone who didn't know what to do with herself and her marriage after her HUGE 100K wedding... She separated from her husband less than a year into the marriage and now they are getting divorced...

she said, what am I going to do? who is going to pay for my next wedding? my dad isn't going to pay for the next one?

my friend told her, maybe focus on yourself for now an not another wedding....

I feel EXACTLY the same way. I can't wait to have a day after work when I come home and DON'T have to do something wedding related. I'll feel like a new person again!
