i don't know... on the one hand i can't wait for it to be over but on the other hand I think i'll miss it! Although it will be nice to keep my paycheck!

i have a lot going on in June - Wedding, moving and new job - so i think the shock of all the change will keep me busy for a bit.

i gotta admit....i have the ocasional bout of PWD!

i'm beyond happy that we are married and had the best wedding ever....BUT at the same time i sometimes wish i still had a wedding to look forward to!

i know a lot of ladies on here think 'no way! i'll be glad when its over and done with!' but that's cause you don't quite know how it feels yet to just be a BRIDE. that is the greatest feeling! you are soooooo happy and you feel like you and your FH are royalty that day. when it's over, and you know other brides are getting ready to have their big days....you just KNOW the feeling they are going to have, and you miss it and wish you could have it again!! so it will probably sneak up now and then for you all when your big days come and go!

but i wouldn't say i cry over it, or sit in my dress on the weekends with my veil and tiara rocking back and forth saying 'I AM a pretty princess....i AM a pretty princess!!!'

but at the same time, i'm glad i don't have to worry about the $$, guest list, stress, etc. whew! relieved THAT part is done and don't miss it.

exactly how I feel...except I do sit rocking back and forth saying 'I AM a pretty princess....i AM a pretty princess!!!'

jk....

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???

It definitely hit me!

I was so sick of the planning and the stress and I couldn't wait for it all to be over already.
But you go from months of planning to your wedding day (which is such a high) to your honeymoon to.....regular life again. It was definitely somewhat of a letdown for me.

One day I just started crying - DH asked me what was wrong - I said 'It's all over!' I was so sad.
I got teary when my mom brought over the box with my preserved dress and I was looking at it through that plastic window lol! And I'm still kinda sad that my tiara is in that box with my dress, so I can't put it on anymore - - yeah, the pretty princess thing kinda hit home with me
I saw a Martha Stewart wedding magazine in Stop & Shop yesterday and got a tiny bit sad that I had no reason to buy it!

But, there's still wedding stuff to do -picking out our TY pic and our albums and getting our video back. Plus, as everyone else has said, now I actually have time to do normal stuff!

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???

Ok so I have after wedding depression. Yes planning was stressful and everyday I told myself why cant it just be here already. Well it all came and went sooooo fast. I loved my wedding!! I want to do it all over again in slow motion. I love my husbnd and love being married. But just to be able to have that day all over again without all the stress of planning I would. My sister inlaw asked me the other day if we can just rent the party buss again get all dressed up and just hang out in it. I think its just that in the end this was the best day of my life and I have never been so happy. But the stress is not missd. Its replaced with other stress liie buying a house.

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???

I was so not a bride, a bit of a bridezilla because...well I am just a b itch in general, but not a bride..>I kept saying, I can't wait for this s hit to be over!

It's finally over, and I am a bit down...there is nothing else to look forward to...I mean being married is great dont get me wrong...but we lived together for 7 months before the big day, so it kind of feels like it went back to the way it was before...

I think it is natural...if you fall into a deep depression, then I suggest help...but its natural to feel a little blue...

That's exactly how I feel! We lived together for 3 years before the wedding and we bought a house a year & a half ago. Everything just went back to the way it was before, so it sometimes does feel like the wedding never even happened (except now we have money for new windows )

very interesting thread! i have a feeling a lot of brides that dont think they will have any 'PWD' will end up having some form of it.
i think i will be relieved the stress is over but i have a feeling i will miss all the excitement.
yet at the same time i am sooooooooooooooo looking forward to just being married already! i cant wait.

See I've never had that feeling, not graduating from grammar school, high school, college or law school so I can't imagine feeling that way with the wedding either. I guess we'll see in another few weeks if I change my tune.
