did I get it right? the little after party, after a wedding. anyway has anyone done this? it seems sort of fun, cool way to keep the night going with close friends/family only. where do people have these things? our wedidng ends at 12 on a Friday night. we're having a day after brunch but that won't be until 11 am. will people still be able to get up for it?
it just seems like a really cool idea. or will everyone be to tired after? do girls get change out of their gown for it?

I had both an after party GREAT!!!! And a Breakfast GREAT I highly recomend both.......Good Times!!!!!

I had an after party at the hotel between a few suite rooms. There was plenty of beer and wine and my parents ordered pies and we partied until well past midnight when the managers asked us to keep it quiet for the rest of the hotel guests.
Our wedding ended at 6pm.

I got married early the reception was over by 6:00 pm and we had people back to our house after the wedding and we had a blast! I stayed in my gown ......I paid enough money for it....and I will be a bride only once.....I wore it until we went to bed I was in my gown from 7:00 in the morning until 2:00am .

we're having outs at Glen Cove Mansion in the Pub. We & our ootg will be staying there. We've also booked a few other events there

my wedding ended at 2:30 on a friday, and people STILL went to the after part hosted by the hotel i had used for guests!!! ....they loved it! DH & i missed it, but our guests had tons of fun!
ps. people may show up a little disheveled at the brunch lol....but ur guests will definetly go to the A.P... the hotel (the wingate) that hosted our afterparty was free of charge for us (but cash bar for guests) since my guests were staying there...which is why i was like - OF COURSE I'll book it...why not? i was glad i did!!!

i see ur getting married at JT!!!! the wingate is 5minutes away and also provides free shuttle service for ur guests to & from the wedding

I have always gone to the after parties and they are a blast. I've enjoyed them more than the next day when you are hungover, if you are at all like me, makeup smeared and wondering what the heck you are doing eat crepes at 10 am....

FH wants to have an after party at the Garden City hotel...I just feel like I'll be exhausted at the end of the night! But I've been to a few after parties and they're a blast!

we will definitely want to be alone after; our wedding ends at 1am and i'm sure we will be soooo tired! plus our hotel doesnt have a bar so there's really nowhere to go. but if there were a bar i'm sure we'd be there!

so you have to book it? free of charge is fine with me. my parents will sigh in relief when I mention one party will be free to us! lol.

thats where we want to stay after the wedding we're afraid it might be expensive for an after party. we're not even sure if we can afford a suite there that night yet we're just gonna have an hour or 2 of a party. cause i'm sure we'll be exhausted.
