after wedding what happens to your dress (POLL)

I spent over $4,000 on an eve of milady dress. So now I am trying to figure out what to do with it afterwards. Could use the money so trying to sell it for maybe half the price would be great. But then I feel that there is sentiment to it. And what if ten years from now when I renew my vows I wanna wear it and suprise every one by still fitting it.

or maybe might wanna save it for my daughter. Its a gorgeous dress.

someone posted about preserving the dress in a shadow box and hanging it on you rwall at home...i thought that was a fabulous idea!

I selected trash it BUT not really trash it. I plan on doing a TTD shoot after the wedding but it's not my intention to ruin the dress at all. Sure it's definitely going to get dirty but not ruined. After that I plan on keeping it.

I would say sell it or donate it. I couldn't see my kids wanting to wear it. Lol.

Eh, I don't know. I can't imagine my daughter will wear it (I feel like all girls want to buy something brand spankin new for themselves). I also wouldn't hang it on my wall or anything. Who knows.

Definitely will be selling it if I can- but I'm going to keep my veil as a keepsake.

If I can't sell it, I've seen a few folks post about making a quilt out of it - so I might do something like this and keep it for Godwilling the little or

I dont want to sell it or trash it...

Just like my Fh said 'When i am 80years old, I want to look at my Wedding suit and look at ur dress and said Look honey this is the clothes we wore when we got married...'
So i will be keeping my weddin dress

Im selling mine. I wish i sold my 1st one bc its in my basement in a trunk. You never rewear it and styles change so much i cant imagine my child wanting to wear it.

My mom actually has hers in the attic. Im sure its nasty and ratty by now.

i'm going to wear mine once a week - preferably on sundays when i'm stirring the sauce.

i don't think i can bear to sell it or keep it in a box....definitely doing TTD, but i'm not planning on destroying it.

i wish i could do that but i have a huge EOM ballgown as well and i doubt they make shadowboxes big enough for it
