Re: Afternoon wedding question

we went with tea length because it was 'casual elegance'... whatever that means

anyway... do as kara said: DO WHAT YOU WANT and makes you feel like you're putting together the wedding of your dreams.

I don't think it matters, find a dress you like!! I am having an afternoon wedding and my BM's are wearing long dresses...

To me it was my wedding so whatever I wanted - I wanted a formal wedding but also wanted daytime. My BMs had long gowns. It's YOUR wedding do whatever YOU want. People throw around 'etiquette' and 'rules' when it's convenient for them, for example, how many of us were virgins when getting married?? My point is, do what you WANT, it's your day, don't let 'rules' or 'etiquette' steer you away from something you really want. Our moms both wore long dresses as well (their choice)

I totally agree! You can have your BM's wear whatever they want. A wedding is a wedding no matter what time it takes place. Be as formal or not formal as you want! It's your day!!!!

I dont think it really matters. I was in an afternoon wedding and I wore a long dress. I also was in a an evening wedding and wore Tea length. Its really up to you what u want. I love the tea length dresses.

I think it is just a matter of preference.
