I bought one w/a skirt last year but I feel like I look like a gay.

Re: Age Appropriate Bathing Suits?
Ok, another question. Is it lame to put a black bottom and a colored top? like solid black bottom, green top, etc.

PS - I have no boobs and can't wear something with cups b/c they indent.
I know all about that! There's a bra place that I thnk has bathing suits too....maybe called Blums? I've heard people talk about it but haven't been there myself.
i'm also all around bigger than you, so the style may not be flattering on everyone. i also noticed, if it's a longer skirted bottom, those are awful. i go for the shorter ones.
i've seen your bpics (wait, who hasn't, JK! ) and boy shorts i think would be really flattering and cute on you.

LOL who hasnt seen my a$$ already? I should just go around naked
and i loooooooooooove roxy bathing suits...maybe if u go with e thicker tie at the hips type of bottom it would work...I've got a big booty and a bit of a belly and those tie at the hips with the thicker bow/ tie thingies work well for me. and then their halter bikini tops are great for girls with no boobs.

I agree with the boyshort thing for you, I think we have a similar figure hehe....also hipster cut, tend to be more coverage but also like straight across on top which is good and doesn't cut in as much, if that makes sense haha.....

Re: Age Appropriate Bathing Suits?
I have a big hiney in comparison to the rest of me and boy shorts do wonders. They still look hot and definitely fill out in the rear....I am not big on top either and find that halter tops with thicker straps that go around the neck are much better than thinner straps. I think you should look for those types of tops. I just got three cute ones at the Macy's near Manhasset. HTH

Unfortunately I think they only have a store in St. Louis, but a sorority sister of mine did an internship here and I think the concept is pretty amazing.
They put you in a body scanner, it takes your measurements and designs options to fit you perfectly and flatter your body type. they also have a zillion options and different patterns and the suit is made to fit YOU, rather than you chasing around the perfect suit.
Someone should bring this to NY!

Re: Age Appropriate Bathing Suits?
first and foremost i think your shape is beautiful all your pics are amazing why shouldnt you feel great in a bathing suit! Im 23 but my friends tell me i act much older and well dont like to show off my 'muffin top' so i usually go for a halter type top and a reg bikini bottom or boy shorts they also have hipsters (perfect inbetween thicker on the hips so it covers more ) .. also a little trick.. i buy one size bigger then i normally would.. i usually wear a small so instead i buy a medium bottom.. a bit looser and doesnt give you that muffin im sure you know what i mean!
i also am obsessed with old navy bathing suits.. GREAT selection, great for that medium age and size and prices are great you can get 3 for the price of one (such as macys or others places)!! i also got an AMAZING one piece from there i cant wait to wear it! also have 2 of their halter tankinis love them to death fit so awesome!
this is the one piece i got that i love.. i got it in a greenish color though.
This is the tankini it comes in 11 different colors (as well as the bottoms and halter top)! the hipster bottoms
and the halter top
HERES THE BEST PART EVERYTHINGS ONLY $15.00!!!!!!!!
i hope this could be of some help!!

Re: Age Appropriate Bathing Suits?
Thank you so much for the compliment!! I love those suits from old navy - I have to look there to stock up. I just ordered these from Jcrew, all in black, except the tankini I ordered in Kelly green, but NOT a string bottom, a regular bottom. And the coverup in white. (PS I DONT HAVE MONEY I JUST LIKE TO PRETEND I DO)
