air jamaica/jet blue

Has anyone flown air jamaica? they have the same exact price (down to the penny) as jet blue. I´m trying to decide which is better. I know jet blue has tvs on board but air jamaica has better time schedules for the days I want to fly.

any comments or suggestions for either airline would be greatly appreciated.

Re: air jamaica/jet blue

I say jet blue only because im a 'true blue member' and you get points with them!!

but if that doesnt matter to you so w the better time schedule... good luck!

Re: air jamaica/jet blue

I started to say Jet blue; but then i read how AJ has better times-that might be more important...getting a better flight time in my opinon trumps the tv's on the seats.

But then again-jb is very comfy...

Re: air jamaica/jet blue

I flew Air Jamaica last year before Jet Blue started the Jamaica route. Air Jamaica definitely had a movie to watch, obviously not individual tv's but it was fine. They also fed us real meals--plane food but it was better than a bag of blue chips!

If the times are that much better, it may be worth it to take (and if you don't care about Jet blue true blue points).

Re: air jamaica/jet blue

We flew both air jamaica & jet blue ....
Air jamaica has always had great travel times, offer meals, they did offer complimentary champagne...never had it lol recent years everytime we booked air jamaica, suddenly, the plane we were on was north american w/ half air jamaica staff ...no warning they outsourced the flight. We were informed last time that air jamaica had stopped flights in certain locations and they were having financial probs. We chose jet blue recently nd it was very pleasant. They offer snacks, not a meal but if the flight times are better on air jam, you might prefer taking that flight.

Re: air jamaica/jet blue

May I be honest? I HATED air jamaica. The flight attendance were cool but the plane itself scared me. Like I felt it was a little... IMO, old.
And it was def way to cramped. I've flown on full flights before, but they really squeezed the max number on that plane....
I vote Jet blue.
