Airbrush makeup.... Confused

Hi Ladies, I knew that if anyone would help and be honest it would be you guys. It's a little long sorry.......I went for my first makeup trial and I'm not so sure I like it. When I got back everyone including FH said that it looked nice but as the day went on I just didn't love it . I was hell bent of doing airbrush because of everything that I've read but now I'm not so sure. I don't know if it was the airbrush that I wasn't happy with or maybe it's just the person that did it. She said she had 10 years experience , and she was very sweet but I wasn't 100% sold. When she was done my entire hairline was covered with makeup, which was very hard to remove and I don't know if you can see it in the pic but my face and neck are 2 totally different colors and 6 hours later it just felt and looked cakey (sp?) to me.
I have to say I did like the colors but would you give her another chance to redo it, maybe try with traditonal makeup or should I just look else were.
TIA

I think your makeup is very pretty- but i agree with you- your face and your neck are different colors. I also want to go w/ airbrush- i even talked to my photographer and he said that airbrush tends to look better in pics- more natural- but it doesn't look that natural in your case.

IMO if you really clicked w/ the woman doing your makeup, bring your concerns back to her- maybe even the picture, and see if there is anything she can do to make it more natural OR maybe go to someone else and tell them of your concerns as well and see what they can do.

I can see what you mean about the face and neck. Usually artists should match the color of your neck , that's what my artist did. Also, she told me that if I wanted, she would airbrush my neck, and chest the day of. I think you may want to discuss w/ other artist because its not common that the make up runs on your hair. Overall, I've had two airbrushing trials and I've been pleased w/ both, and luckily I haven't had your experience. If you would like to know who I'm using I'd be glad to share the info w/ you. Good luck!

She did a beautiful job except your right your face does not match your neck and it should. A good makeup artist shouldn't do that. Maybe she is not good at airbrushing yet. I wouldn't take a chance on my wedding day. I am doing airbrushing by MAC cosmetics. Her name is Connie and she is coming to my house the day of. If you want her info FM me. I don't have any pics to show you. Sorry

I agree with the other ladies comment, it looks like they use a wrong foundation for your face. I can't believe that your make-up artist has 10 years experience...i have no experience with makeup but at least I know my skin tone. Try emailing her and attached this picture..

The more I look at the pic the more it looks like someone used photoshop to put my head on another persons body. That is so not OK
Thanks for your advice ladies, I thought maybe I was just being anal about things. Hmmm now I'm wondering why everyone said it looked great, maybe they were just trying to be nice.

Remember things look different in pictures then in person. As a makeup artist myself I can tell you that you probably did look awesome in 'life' But when a flash hits the skin some makeups reflect. So I am POSITIVE that people were not lying to you. Its definatly the wrong color but your other makeup looks good. I would show her the picture and tell her what happened because really all she has to do is go a shade deeper. That is IF you like the rest of the makeup. If not there are a ton of other makeup artists out there. Hope I helped a little!
