Aisle runners, where do they begin and end?

Do they start at the church doors and go to the first pew (closest to the altar) or do they go all the way to the altar??

or

Do they go from first pew to last pew??????

I beleive mine will be from the first pew to the last pew.... the church told me what size to purchase i am thinking it will be like this! But I beleive some churches will let it go up to the altar or all the way up the altar!

The begin at the steps to the pulpit...some let you go all the up but most do not and they roll to about one foot before the door
