Thanks Anna! Soon enough they'll be in stage 2.

RE: the bananas: I too was excited to try them when I got baby food for Luke b/c I thought they would be delicious but I actually found them to be yucky. I was disappointed, I wanted that childhood expereience again. LOL Well he likes them which is what counts.

LOL Liz !

Is there anything he doesnt like? John Anthony doesnt really seem to like green beans, but so far I mix them with a sweet veggie (carrots or sweet potatoes) A scoop o this and a scoop o that...and he eats it. ITs silly to already rule out things if he makes a face right ? As a toddler, I want to introduce him to all veggies and hope he likes all of them!

Luke doesnt seem to like the green beans either and find myself avoiding them when I pick him veggie out. But I try to give them anyway b/c I dont want him to be a picky eater. My one nephew is 2 and all I ever see him eating is cheese and hot dogs because 'he doesn't like anything else'

I hope JA doesnt become a picky eater. I think you have to teach kids to like foods. MY sister gives her kids lots of veggies and healthy stuff to snack on. So at dinner theyll attack your broccoli, salad, carrots, green beans, olives. They love fruit, wheat bread, graham crackers, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. She hates when they are with their older cousin who 'doesnt like anything else' and eats fruit rollups, candy bars, lollipops, twinkies, and all sorts of junk day in and day out... very bad eating habits...
I hope its not too hard of a thing to do !

John's mom used to put veggies in the blender and tell him it was a milkshake, lol. worked for years, till her saw her make it !

Although I have a way to go before I get to this stage , I'm jumping in because I totally agree with you, Anna, and Liz!!!! I think it's important to teach them good eating habits and not bad eating habits so young. I see what my sister goes through with my nephew -- this kid doesn't even like PASTA OR PIZZA!! He's the only kid at a b'day party, that has to eat beforehand because he doesn't eat the norm!!! What kind of Italian is he?? He doesn't eat any fruit or vegetables and survives on chicken nuggies (a certain kind to boot), grilled cheese, eggs and 'stars' (stellini pasta for soup). Me and my mother constantly try to get him to eat vegetables, etc, but he wants no part of it!!! I tell my sister that he's just like his mother, because all she ate when she was little was american cheese, hot dogs and bologna!! Even now she doesn't eat anything 'green'!! You cannot pass your bad eating habits onto your children!

Granted, when I was little I never ate veggies either, but once I turned 20, I became the veggie queen and the more the better!!!! This kid of mine will be loving scarole and broccoli rape!!!
