all this stress- cant stop crying

Ok ladies, sorry I need to vent... bad.
As I mentioned before on the posts... I had two cousins who had the NERVE to cut in front of me and book their wedding before mine... One is exactly a month before my wedding, and the other, 2 weeks before it ***** but what can I do? I cant lose my cool... but I have told whoever possible that my wedding was booked FIRST!

Anyway, I put a deposit down for my shower hall for the first week in Feb and come to find out, my cousin told everyone her shower is the DAYYYYYYYYYY of mine... and of course she already told everyone and finalized it, where I, didnt tell anyone yet except my family, fh, etc.. what luck! ahh

so now I have to have the shower 2-3 weeks after which I dont want to do, but have no choice... there is about 75 percent of the same people (family friends) attending all three weddings... it ***** and hurts so bad,..
Friday night, I was with my little cousins and I managed to without making it obvious, ask them what my cousin (who is getting married two weeks before me) wedding favors, bm dresses are...

Sadlyyyy,,, with my luck, the favors which I wanted to order- she has already ordered... I feel liike I am being punished.. I hate this,... normally I would say screw it and order the favors however, my wedding is LAST. and I want to be different and not look like I copied them.. I am so upset, for the past few weeks I have been going to bed crying...

I guess what I am asking you girls is, can you give me some cute and bling/different shower ideas? I was thinking of decorating the hall with cute lanterns, etc... I saw a previous 09 bride I think have it..

I hate this so bad.. im sorry the vent is so long.. thanks for those of you who read this whole thing and tia for any advice I am a mess

So sorry the people around you are treating you like that! Stinks that they went ahead and booked everything like the shower and stuff and you have to go and change it!!!
I will try and look and think of things for you and when I find something I will FM you!

OMG! What mean terrible people these are!!
I am so not creative so I cant help with the theme part of it but I can be here for a shoulder to cry on or vent to. If you want you can FM me anytime!

Normally, I would say to let it go and realize people do what they want, but in this instance, it sounds like she is super jealous and spiteful and you have every right to be upset over it!

As far as different ideas, I like the gardeny tea pot theme, or hanging chinese lanterns from the ceilings, table linens, a unique food concept. If you pick a theme I can totally help you find some awesome stuff

your cousins are rude and inconsiderate morons, sorry to say.

In any event, your wedding WILL be more special and more amazing because of the person that YOU are. It is not fair what they are doing and what goes around, COMES AROUND. Remember that.

As far as themes, we had a 'wine themed' engagement party? Everything was very rustic and geared towards a tuscan/wine type look.

that may be an idea? you can still decorate with lanterns and such since that is kind of rustic also??

So very sorry sweetheart! I have said it before people are horrible sometimes. Try and remain positive and don't allow people to ruin such a wonderful,exciting time in your life.

i am so sorry you are going through this. a similar situation happened in my family. im sure everything u pick will turn out beautiful and you know what they say.... 'you save the best for last' your wedding will be the best!!

Im sorry People can be very inconsiderate.. I feel your pain. It def scks but theres nothing you can do. I would not tell anyone in my fam anything about the wedding if I was you. Good luck sweetie and stay strong

A bling idea i love is Ering napkin holders, you could find little E ring 'accents' i guess there called at michales and use ribbon to have them tied around the napkins

Sorry you're going through this. I think they should've asked you first what your plans. That's really messed up. As if the wedding wasn't bad enough, they should've had the courtesy to ask about the showers.

I'm sorry!! Try not to worry so much about making it into a competition though (I know its hard..and im sure your wedding will blow their's out of the water. but anyways.......lol)...make sure you dont lose sight of what its really about- you getting married to FH! Your wedding will by far be fabulous!

I am so sorry to hear about this! I can kind of relate! My best friend just had her shower and her centerpeices were awesome. They were umbrellas made from flowers! I can give you the name of her florist shes amazing and she will work with you price wise! She also ave out clear umbrellas as her gift! If you give me more information about your colors i would love to help!

So sorry you are going through this. It just isn't easy and I would feel the same way. If you can manage to find out all the details of the other two weddings.... I would go in a totally different direction...bigger,better, but different and more memorable. Don't share your plans with anyone though. They will have a chance to add to their wedding since it is before yours.

thank you girls for the support, all of you are really such a supportive awesome bunch and I appreciate it...

I feel like the more I bash or talk about them or the process, the more bad things come my way, in terms of things not going my way that is...
