all this talk about wedding programs..

Is it weird NOT to do a wedding program?

I just don't want another thing to worry about if its not absolutely necessary

NOT AT ALL....

I AM ONLY DOING IT B/C WE ARE HAVING A RELIGIOUS CEREMONY ...AND THE READINGS AND SUCH HAVE A LOT OF MEANING

FOR ME THE CEREMONY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF MY WEDDING AND I HAVE REALLY PUT MORE EFFORT INTO IT THAN MOST...

I HAVE BEEN TO CEREMONIES WHERE THERE WAS NO PROGRAM AND IT WAS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL...

i agree that to me the ceremony at out church is the most important part of the day for us. We are making the program because i want everyone to recognize all the important people in our life...the names of our family and bridal party that have helped us so much during this process....and i am using the programs to write thank yous to our families and mentioned our deceased loved ones....

YEAH..I WAS TOTALLY TURNED OFF BY A FLORIST WHO TOLD ME PUTTING SO MUCH EFFORT AND THOUGHT INTO DECORATING THE CEREMONY WAS RIDICULOUS B/C IT WAS ALL OF 20 MINUTES...

thats terrible! i mean i am not a huge flower fan so i am not going crazy with them at the church or hall but the ceremony is all i care about....! its what a wedding is all about!

we are only doing it because I made fh a storybook for valentines day last year, and everyone said that our life is like a play one that all would see etc, so we had this joke that we should do a playbill for our wedding program...and...low and behold...its working

I probably won't do one for the same reasons, but if anyone SHOULD have on it's me, because my ceremony is very intricate and not something that about 95% of the guests are super familiar with, so they might need some explanation as to what the different components symbolize.

But it's also an added expense, and I can't see myself taking the time out of my life to do them. Maybe I'll include a orthodox ceremony for dummies link in my invites LOL.

no not at all...i didnt think we neeed them cause i dont think we will have that many people in the church but fh wanted them so e got..but i totally wouldhave done without it either way its fine
