I am like that too. I have a good friend for so many years and we lost touch since we got engaged. She was engaged a while ago and it fell through. Since I got engaged, she could care less. It makes me feel like sh*t considering I was excited for her- why can't she be excited for me!

I do and I dont. I like where I am. I think I am almost out of that party stage and ready to move on.

my issue is slightly different -- along with FH I am getting a stepson, and while my friends understand that I need to save money and can't party all night anymore, they don't really understand about the kid. Like we will be out on a saturday night and we have to pick him up from his mom's really early sunday, so we like to get home by midnight to go to sleep and they don't really understand. Or they will plan an event on a day we have him, and I say well we can't come because the event is not kid-friendly, and they get sort of miffed.

I am the opposite. All of my friends are married. Sometimes it feels very 'been there, done that' when I talk about the wedding planning stuff.

I am in the same boat!!!

I definitely feel like that, and the sad part is that the one person who I feel totally different from is my best friend.

She is all abotu still going out and partying and sticks with the single girls.

I feel that way sometimes but not in regards to wedding stuff..... All of my friends are in the same boat as me when it comes to that...

My issue is more with career/schooling... I feel like a lot of my friends are so ahead of me degree wise and they are mostly semi-established in their careers and I feel like I am at the bottom of the totem pole...I am FINALLY getting my bachelors after 7 years but it doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment when most of my friends have a Masters already! So while it's not EXACTLY the same thing, I can totally relate to how you are feeling!!!!!

Re: All those who feel...

i dont really feel like that because my friends are either getting married or in serious relationships. i think fh is goin through this now because hes been all weird lately. i think hes just not sure where he stands with his friends and life itself.

I feel like I'm in the middle because some of my friends are married, some in the same position as me getting married and others are not.

I !!!

I am 21 and all my friends are still going out and crazy....I felt it real bad the other night when we went to a house party and I was so bored...none of are friends even think about getting married...most arent even in relationships...It makes me feel like the wierd one for settling down but its the best thing for us , its the next step...FH graduates in a year and most of our friends arent even half way through school ...some say we are young when they dont know us but our families are so happy!

I!!!

But I feel like its more of an inner battle. I have some friends who are in serious relationships, some with kids..etc..and then I have some who love to party..

And sometimes while I'm out partying, I'm actually kind of bored..but then if I don't do anything on the weekends I feel like I had such a boring weekend...lolz then of course theres the times where I just absolutely love doing nothing!!!

I'm def. going through a transitional phase..I'm just trying to find a happy balance..

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im the first one out of my griends to be getting married. Its just hard because they don't understand. I really want to go out, trust me girls nights out are fun, but i think about the money i could be spending on something else rather than getting sh*tfaced at some bar. Plus i only see FH friday saturday and sunday-and i work all week and go to school-so by friday im so exhausted that i dont even have the energy to go out anymore. They just dont get that my life is heading in a different direction...

Well i'm 28 and most of my friends are still single. Sometimes i feel sorta left out and out of place when i hang out with my single friends

My friends from LI are mostly living up the single life in NYC - but almost all my friends here in CT are in the same place, and we are currently having a little baby boom! It is def awkward when I visit home, but my friends are mostly awesome and really supportive so they love to hear all the details. Most of them are in the wedding too!

I do!!!!!

It's hard especially that we are all so busy but it's with different things. 3 of my best friends are all about to finish their masters and get awesome jobs while i'm still working on my bachelors and hate my job. But i'm in a completley diffrent place with love and for that i am grateful.
