Allegria Hotel

Has anyone recently gotten married at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach recently?

We are about to sign with them but are concerned about the limited food options for cocktail hour, the dancefloor space (party will be for about 175 people), and working with them in general.

Any experiences or info will be much appreciated!

omg before you book read tripadvisor reviews...i have not attended a wedding there but twice i stayed there, once for my engagement night and once on a comp night because they f*ed up so bad on our engagement night and you couldn't pay me money to go back there again...they are sooo overrated and all the reviews on tripadvisor are true...now maybe they do things different when your booking for an event, but when you pay over 700/nt, you should get the moon and the stars...i'd be happy to elaborate further on what was really bad, just fm me

I know there's a lot of mixed feelings about Allegria, I don't know much about them, but my friend got married there the summer they opened and it looked absolutely gorgeous.

I know when they first opened up they were a disater! I had a friend who use to work there and she told me so many horror stories especially with their catering. But things may have changed from then. Like anything, every experience is different.

We looked into having our wedding there but the space was too small for us (we are having about 225 guests). I didn't get great vibes from them any of the times I called or the 2 times we were there checking out the space. I am still using them for my hotel block since they are the closest hotel to Bridgeview where we decided to book. They have been difficult in getting the hotel block set up and to be honest I am a little nervous about everything going smoothly with them day of since I will be getting ready there. They seem to have a cant be bothered attitude even though I will be giving them 15-20 rooms worth of business on a random Saturday night in March!!

Re: Allegria Hotel

the long of the short is that we paid 700 for our engagement night, they sod us a special 'dolce vita' package that no one seemed to even know about...the champagne and strawberries 'on arrival' were two hours late and 3 phone calls too late...our money toward breakfast and dinner in the package wound up being just toward dinner...then we find out at check out we DID have money for breakfast after we were already told no...the pool is always closed for a private party so when you check in, which you're lucky if you can get your room at 3pm, the pool is never available...they had the balls to tell us they would have written will you marry me in the sand if they 'knew we were getting engaged' which they totally knew but instead sold us this package...then on our comp'd night our air conditioning didn't work in 2 different rooms, the second room was filled with HUGE moths because the people before us obviously couldn't stand that there was no air...and then to top it off i got stuck in the elevator, by myself, going from floor to floor with the car shaking at every floor and refusing to open it's doors...i FREAKED out...im just saying, if they can't execute people staying in a room for a single night, then i would never trust my entire wedding with them...and that's the short story

I stayed there recently for a bacherlorette party. While the experience wasn't terrible (the power went out that night, but there were storms and a lot of Long Beach was out, so that wasn't their fault), I wasn't impressed with their service. It took forever to get someone to come in and clean one of the rooms (the bathrooms were a little grimy to us), and no one was particularly friendly. Like a previous poster said, the pool was always closed fora private party, so we stayed on the beach. We were guaranteed a cabana, but they didn't have enough, or even enough umbrellas I believe. They just didn't quite seem to have their stuff together. I didn't think it was worth its price tag.
