almost ready to book my hall

first of all thanks to everyone who helped me with my hall debate!

i just wanted to let everyone know that fh's cousin is 99% sure she is booking the carltun which means im 99% sure im booking the woodlands. im totally happy about it! i really did love both places equally...this just gave me a push to one direction!

and im totally fine with her picking the carltun cuz she will be 34 and did get engaged first...besides she isn't having a sat night and she couldnt get her ideal date. AND the woodlands will be a new and exciting experience for me...my work party is at the carltun every yr...

That's great news! I like the idea of your wedding being in a place you don't go to every year for a Christmas party - makes it feel more, I don't know, 'wedding-y'. Keep us posted!!

we're going to talk to the bm friday...so hopefully by the end of this week! she isn't in today otherwise we would do it today. BUT they said they are holding our date as of right now

OH THATS GREAT...YOURE GONNA LOVE IT!!!!! Go eat at the restaurant upstairs and you'll realize how friggin great that place is....also, negotiate with the bm...she's very generous and she threw in a whole bunch of crap for my MOH...she got $113 for a friday in July and she got a VH for $12...so theyare VERY willing to work with you...as long as you bring a nice deposit

we didnt have much time last time, but we tried some appetizers and they offered us free drinks etc a time before but i still want to try the meals just so i really know. from what we had...the food was good (which is why it became a choice). and i do love that they are willing to customize the menu and really work with us to get everything we want.

that's awesome advice!!! i totally will do that...i was going to try and negotiate anyway (im totally nervous about that btw!) but i wasnt sure how willing they were going to be.

im totally down for leaving a nice deposit if that helps! and its like our parents are paying for the reception but i still would rather get them the best price we can!

cash or check???

did your moh already get married there? im excited now!
