Alteration prices!

Am I the only one who is paying over $400 for alterations?! My dress practically fit, too! How much did you have to pay if you don't mind me asking?

I think mine is capped at $295 and I will most likely just need a little nip and tuck too.

wow - i feel like i'm paying nothing. my alterations for my bm dress is capped at $70.

I am paying about 400 as well but that is with my bustle and I need the most minimal alterations!

i fell so in love with my dress..I never even asked about alteration fee's , now im worried!!!! Do most places have a cap or how does this usually work?

IMO, that's high.

you don't have to get your dress altered where you buy it. I'm going to a seamstress who has a business out of her home.

davids bridal told me it starts around 75-100 depending on how much alterations need to be done. which is alot. im short and the top of the dress needs to be hemmed.

bayshore bridal was caping mine at $250.00 but i got a Hem to Hem for only $100.00

Wedding salon of manhasset is capped at $250

Kleinfelds charged me a mandatory $400 for alterations. And then I had to spend an additional $20 to have cups sewn in.

mine is estimated at $200---

it was a gown sample so it has to be taken in quite a bit. also, my bustle is just a simple one point over b/c my dress is a sheath.

Mine were capped at around $250. Of course I met the cap but I had a good deal of alterations done for that price.

I took my bridal gown out of the salon and brought it to a recommended seamstress. The dress needs major alterations on the top a major hem since I'm 5'1 and a five point bustle for approximately $200-$250. The salon had me capped at $165 but each point was an additional $10. For the extra possible $40 I'd rather get it done right!

I had mine done at davids Bridal for $90. The dress fit. I just had to get some taken in on the top and do th bustle. So I am grateful considering what others are paying. that is crazy to pay that much money$$$ IMO

i wish mine will be like that. since i lost weight, they'll have to take it in at the waist
