Do you have to get alterations done at the store where you buy your dress? My FMIL has a good friend who does this and offered to do my alterations for me. Thanks.

I dont see why you would have to. Its an additional service that the bridal shop offers. If you know someone already, have the shop order your dress and take it to them.

Of course not! It is a service they offer, but you are in no way obligated to have alterations there. I am thinking of having mine done elsewhere.
