How far in advanced should you make the appointments? Where are you getting them done?? Thanks!

I got my alterations done already. I probably did it a little too early because I am still losing weight. They normally say you should go for your first fitting about 6 weeks before your wedding.
I purchased my dress from DB but used a seamstress in Valley Stream for my alterations. She did a great job. She altered both my dresses and put a comb in my veil. She works from home. If you are interested I can FM you her info. I am not sure where you are but she is definitely worth the travel. She also works with your budget she does not believe in over charging. We plan on having her do the alterations for my mother's dress.
