alterations Q...please help!!!!!!!!

oh...my...god...

ok so i FINALLY was able to find the dress i have been obsessing over, and i tried it on but it was 2 sizes too big, but i figured i had gotten a good idea what it would look like.

i just saw it in a new magazine as a front view on the model (on the website they only show her from the back) and it looks REALLLLLLY bad on her, on top!! i just don't like the way the top is fitted on her at all. the waist is really high and she looks really flat chested.

i don't know a lot about alterations but can they fix things like that if i don't like the way it looks? what i would want is for the waist to be lower (so for it to be fitted lower down on my waist, before it falls out into the bell shape) and for my chest not to look so small (b/c my chest IS small but i wouldn't want it to look it!!!!)

does anyone know if this can be done? or is the style of the dress just that style and that's it? can anything be done??

I am not 100% sure I would ask a seamstress. But I have seen some amazing things done

You know what, I would have never even considered getting the dress that I picked out if I had seen it on the model first. It made her look flat chested and her waist looked wide but when I tried it on it was just the opposite. It made my little B's look pretty good Even when I showed FH a picture of me in it he said that it made me look 'busty' (his word, not mine) The point that I am making is you can't really go by how it's looks on the model but by how it made you feel when you tried it on.

Is there any way for you to be able to try it on in your size? Does anyone else in your area carry it?

no one in the area had it at all. i had to drive to new jersey just to try it on in a slightly larger size. i think i'm going to order it and hope for the best. i just wish i knew for sure whether they would be able to make those alterations.
