I just bought my dress at RK Bridal and I absolutely love it! The only thing I want to change is the closure, it's a zip back, but I really wanted a corset. The ladies at RK Bridal assured me they could make it happen.
Has anyone every done this before? Is it as common as they make it sound? About how much does it cost?
TIA!

Re: Altering to a corset back
I got it done to one of my dresses because I bought it at a store closing sale and I had to buy it in a size 6 but I wear a size 8 so my seamstress made it a corset back with no problem. I didn't want it but it had to be done. She only charged me $50 but I got other alterations too but it is NOT a major undertaking.

Re: Altering to a corset back
Yes, it is! Thanks Lili! I looked around a bit on the internet, there are even some brides who DIY the corset back. I don't plan on doing that, but it's good to know its not a huge project and wont cost me an arm and leg.

Re: Altering to a corset back
Yeah she opened it up and put loop holes int he same fabric as the dress and then made me a fabric panel...some girls want the fabric panel and others dont. I am picking up my dress soon and I will show you pictures of the before and after!
